Xplosiv Hexen 2

Nothing like a good old style shooter and this fits the bill perfectly. Dont expect battlefield quality as we are talking very old here. Good value and good fun.

HeXen II: The Serpent Riders go out in style!With Quake powering this game, what could possibly go wrong? In answer: nothing, that's what.If you've played Hexen, you know the format: levels based around a central hub, mana, weapons of exceptional power that have to be reassembled before they can be used, artefacts, and, of course, a sumptuous array of puzzles to get your teeth into.I know that compared to modern games, Hexen 2 is looking dated now but I would seriously urge you to make the effort and buy it (come on, it's less than a fiver for crying out loud!) the rewards you will get are pleasing to say the least.The basics are: free the world of Thyrion from the grip of Eidolon, the last of a trio of demons called the Serpent Riders (those who have played Heretic and Hexen will know what I am on about here)The levels are huge, based around a central hub. No brainless key-fetching here, Hexen 2 makes you think to progress and takes on more than a few RPG qualities (character class, level gains, stat gains etc)Depending on how good you are at solving puzzles, Hexen 2 will either provide you with a short experience or a long one, one of the biggest boons of the game. The gameplay is addictive and, on higher spec machines, the graphics can be tweaked to breathe a little "modern-ness" into them for those of you who judge a game on it's appearance.Seriously, old it may be, but Hexen 2 is still worth a look. It is cheap now and, if you are bored and looking for a decent game to pass carefree time, Hexen 2 is it. Go on, buy it. You know you want to!
