Excellent quality, subtle flavour, natural ingredients
It's got a pleasant taste, ideal for cooking as it imparts a subtle flavour which compliments most dishes. Amazing to find a stock without the additives, it really is a proper home cooked stock all natural ingredients. It's also vegan and gluten free and excellent quality. It's my second order on subscription a pack of six.

Definitely an acquired taste
I bought this product specifically to do the HBD diet which called for a very pure liquid stock. However, it has a very peculiar smell and taste and when I look at the ingredients I cannot work out where that smell and taste come from. I can only say I made a delicious fish stew with it and had to feed the lot the foxes because after one mouthful, I couldn’t go ahead. As II said before an acquired taste. Given one star as no stars is not an option.

Simply tasty
This is the first time I’ve bought this. I got it to break my fast so I wanted something nutritious and not full of unnecessary additives. It’s very thin and clear. No actual pieces of vegetables. The taste is nice and subtle. I didn’t add it to anything else, I just warmed it and drank it like soup in a mug. It’s nice quality and I enjoyed it.

Well packaged and delivered swiftly
Ordered this for my wife who has trouble eating. It arrived quickly and well packaged.Regrettably she cannot bear the taste of it. I have to say I tried it and wasn’t over keep either though the smell was more off putting to me.Taste is a personal preference though so although it’s not liked here I’m sure many will enjoy it.It is quite expensive so I now have two cartons I cannot use. I’ll be taking them to the local food bank I think.Great idea love that it’s allergy free just not for us.

Lovely product
I am on a new healthy low fat diet and the Vegan Veg Broth works a treat with my rice and veg dishes as well as delicious soups. Also the Fish Broth is great for healthy fish chowders. Highly recommend this tasty product and all sustainably sourced which is a winner in my book.

Very tasty but awfully expensive
I’m gluten and lactose intolerant so always in the look-out for food that I can eat and that actually tastes nice! So I was pleased to be able to try this gourmet vegetable broth. The broth comes in handy long-life cartons, so can be stored unopened on a shelf rather than in a fridge, so helps with space. Once opened you will need to store in the fridge and the screw cap ensures the contents will remain fresh and no spillage if knocked over (I don’t know about you but my fridge space is always packed and sometimes items can be a bit precariously placed!). The cartons come sealed with a secure screw top, which breaks the seal when turned, and it also has a foil inner top that is also breaks when you trying the lid. This foil top didn’t come out cleanly for me, so I just folded it in before pouring the soup. The carton suggests you can drink straight from the carton or warm the contents through in a pan to use as soup or a drink. I warmed mine in the microwave in a Pyrex jug on a medium heat and that worked very well. The stock is absolutely delicious with lots of depth in the taste and is not over salted. I used mine as a low fat drink to keep me going in the day, and it works very well for that. I also used it in my shepherds pie, and it worked very well as a rich tasty base flavour.Price wise, well there is no doubt this pack of six broth cartons is very expensive, at around £6.17 per carton based on the current price of £36.99 for six. In anyone’s book this is at the luxury end of the market. I would say that it demons how you’re going to use it will define its value proposition. If you’re using it as a base for dishes, then you will get a lot of value from the pack, and you will use little and often overtime to add richness and depth of flavour to your savoury cooking, and this will feel like fair value, as you will be feeding 4-6 servings at least and maybe twice that. If you’re using as soup or a drink in its own, then over £6 per carton is very expensive indeed for a fleeting taste for one person. So there is no doubt in my mind that this broth is very very tasty. It is a little too rich for my ongoing needs, and would be better if it could be sold in individual cartons to use in cooking, as it’s a fair outlay when you have to purchase the box. So lovely tasty product overall, especially beneficial if you are gluten and lactose intolerant as I am (I’m pleased to report I had no adverse side effects from consuming the broth). Due to the price I’m deducting one star, but the product itself is a quality one if you can afford it.
