Bright, sturdy bulb.
When you put power in it, it lights up so bright. When you turn it off it goes dark.Cheap as chips, solid light, no 50hz flicker.Quite a “cool” white light.Uses very little power, produces almost no heat.

Very good value, and very bright
I don't quite understand how some people think this bulb is not bright. It seems very bright to me, and comes on instantly. Vey good value. My only criticism is that the light is "cold" (quite harsh white) but it does a perfectly good job lighting a hallway.

21st century old skool!
Many years ago there were filament bulbs. They were brilliant but used up much valuable electricity. Then came energy saving bulbs. Small, coiled versions of fluorescent strip lights. They were dull. Needed time to warm up and gave of a sickly glow. After many years and generations they still need time to warm up and still consumption od precious electricity was thought too high. Now we have LED bulbs. Bulb shape. Bulb brightness. No warming up. Choice of hue/colouring of light. Very little precious electricity is consumed. These bulbs are an excellent example of modern technology and home lighting. I can't think of any downside.

Bright light. Rated an 'F' on the current energy efficiency scale?
On first use, I was happy with how bright these bulbs were. The light was quite white, without the yellow hint from warmer whites & without as much of the blue feel from cold white. The colour does feel on the colder side but without a clear comparison it's very subjective. This would be great for anywhere where you want to read clearly etc or want good clarity. On the efficiency side, I was surprised to see this arrive with the 'old' energy efficiency ratings. These were phased out in Sept 2021 I thought (so 26 months prior). So was surprised to see the old ratings. Based on the new ratings, I think this bulb would receive an 'F' rating? (1200 lumens divided by 11 watts = 109.1 lumens per watt, placing it just below an E rating)
