Points of failure to be aware of
Let me start of by saying that I love this bag. I've had it now for four and a half years, it saw daily use transporting documents and laptops to meetings and job sites in an architecture office and weathered the demands of grad school. It's been packed to the brim and shoved around as my carry on and rested on my shoulder for long days of urban wandering. After these years of use it still looks professional, though weathered, and has protected my electronics and papers well. All the praise aside there are some design flaws that have become apparent, superficial and serious, that you should be aware of if this messenger bag, I don't know why they're referring to it as luggage, is going to receive daily aggressive use.-The most compromising point has been the connection of the ring that threads the leather shoulder strap to the carabineer esc clasp via a rivet. The metal that was used for my bag's clasp, and from the picture it looks to be the same, wore and eventually slipped out while my bag was on my shoulder sending it and my laptop to the pavement. I have since substituted some rock climbing carabineers for the original connectors. This failure happened 3 years into use and not all my laptops have been the lightest of computers...still something to be aware of.-Lack of padding in the laptop pouch. As I said previously one of the bag's connections failed and dropped my laptop from my shoulders. Though the laptop survived it's frame was bent. Would heavier padding offer more protection? I'll leave that call to you.-The magnetic clasp on the back pouch has worn through the fabric lining. Signs of fatigue were present fairly soon into use. No loss in functionality however, unless your function is to appear flawless.Four and a half years oh rigorous use have shown the bag to be of durable material with strong stitching. The shoulder strap is comfortable and durable. The clasps for the front pouch are easy to manipulate and still functioning properly. Carrying around laptops and papers wore the metal connections to the point of failure and should be monitored for fatigue. All things considered I'd buy this bag again for the right price.

Nice, but not perfect
The Kenneth Cole Reaction: Show Business briefcase/messenger bag is a very nicely built and designed item; it suits both fashionably casual, as well as business oriented individuals, though I personally would shy away from this item for those that work in a more formal environment, as it does have a youthful image to it compared to other options available. The build quality is quite nice overall, though there are several issues I have:1) one of the buckles on the strap was not aligned properly, so the hook sat off kilter, and not in the groove it was supposed to. For the price you pay, I figure that this shouldn't be an issue.2) the zippers open up quite widely (i.e. all the way to the base), which makes it visible to the public. Conversely, it also makes it that much easier to access items deep down3) some of the pockets have so little give in them, that I can see myself tearing the seams when trying to get to some small item that has fallen to the base of the deep pockets4) there are no little grips or protectors on the bottom of the bag, which makes it more likely for one to scratch the bottom surface of the leather5) seems to be a bit unbalanced when sitting on my shoulder. May not be the same for you, as my shoulders are sloped quite a bit.Things that I appreciate:1) it looks GOOD. I've gotten multiple compliments on it!2) the general quality is quite nice. There is a heavy insert on the front that gives the lid a bit of heft.3) plenty of pockets. Although some are quite small, generally they are very usable.4) the straps are cosmetic, and are actually more like clasps with a slide in locking mechanism. This makes it much easier to open and close quickly.5) they put it in a nice bag. Though it came scratched and with a few superficial marks on it already, it still looked nice overall. I personally expect this to last me 2 years or so before I will have to upgrade, so it doesn't bother me as much. I'm a bit annoyed that a new leather bag would come with all these cosmetic defects however.I'll update if/when I notice any other further issues.
