I don’t know why, but it does what it says.
I was recommended this by my urologist after having bladder prolapse surgery and a urethral sling, and having to self-catheter once or twice a day which ended up giving me many UTIs for the first year despite all my best attempts at being super meticulous and clean about it.Once taking this, I haven’t had another infection yet… at all. It’s been over two years. So again, I don’t know exactly how it works, but it does. It might be unnecessary if you aren’t already at high UTI risk (it’s definitely expensive), but if you are, I’d consider it a very worthwhile investment.

It's a miracle pill for me
I had heard of "D-Mannose Attack" from a family member who knew that I struggled with recurring UTI's several times a year. I was very weary at first, and did some research before requesting to try this product. As with any supplement, I always recommend you do your own research before trying anything for the first time. In short, D-Mannose Attack is a type of natural sugar that has been converted to help with other medical issues. For UTI's it has been shown to help remove E.coli (a bacteria that commonly causes UTIs) from the bladder. There are many brands offering D-Mannose Attack on the market now, and I chose this one to try, simply because it just looked legitimate to me. This product in particular is instructed to be used as a "maintenance" everyday supplement, and not as a remedy. Admittedly, I did not feel comfortable taking it every day, and so I waited until I felt those telltale symptoms of an oncoming UTI to try Utiva. I have now successfully "cured" two UTIs with Utiva by starting a course for three days straight plus lots of water. Simply put, I'm shocked and excited that I will be seeing the doctor less and taking less antibiotics from now on, thanks to Utiva. It was getting so frustrating having to take a prescription every time I got a UTI. I had even become allergic to one antibiotic already and was fearful that eventually I'd run out of antibiotic options. I was doing everything right like wiping front to back, drinking lots of water, and even taking cranberry pills, but still I'd get a UTI. Some additional information that I think you should be aware of before trying this: studies on the efficacy of D-Mannose Attack on UTIs were only done with those caused by the bacteria E.coli. If your UTIs have a different cause, it may be hit or miss if trying to treat it with D.Mannose Attack. Additionally, some mild side effects may include diarrhea or loose stools, among other things. I did experience this very mildly, although nothing significant enough to make me not want to use the product. I will say that again, I did not take it as directed, as the instructions say to take two pills twice a day, 30 minutes before a meal. I did take the two pills twice a day, but whenever I remembered to take them, sometimes right after a meal and maybe that's why it affected my digestion slightly. All in all, I am thankful to have found this product, and I hope that it works for you if you try it. If it stops working for me, I'll update this review.
