Perfect!
We had issues getting my puppy to eat dog food from other brands such as royal canin. We got her through her first 6 months by having to put some vegetables like boiled carrots in her food. We tried square egg at a pet store as a sample and our pup ate it up instantly. Since switching her to square egg, we have not had any difficulties feeding her and no longer have to add anything to her food to get her to eat it. Our vet also says she is more energetic and seems happier. Her beautiful shih tzu coat always gets so many compliments. We are so happy to find a food that works.

Misleading food! The kibble is not what it’s supposed to be!
I’ve bought this product for several years it’s been great BUT NOW they seem to think changing the kibble and lie saying its the same, it’s not the same. My dogs had issues with this. It is frustrating. My dogs already almost died from food being wrong. Pay attention to your kibble. It’s not the same anymore on the bag photo. It’s orange with black pepper dots.. the original is the brown squares

Good for those Vegetarian Dogs or People that prefer to feed their Dogs a Vegi Diet
My dogs were a little more than lukewarm to this kibble. They ate it but I could tell they were not super crazy about it since they didn't dive in to their bowls like they do when they get a kibble they really like. This is called "meat free" and uses eggs and whey as the primary protein sources. So eggs from chickens and whey from cows. I guess this is dog food to consider if you are uncomfortable with the idea of your pets eating animals. So, a vegetarian dog... Hmm, whatever. My dogs did fine with the small bag we tried. But since they didn't seem super excited about it we will stick with our regular meat kibble.According to the SquarePets website, this food meets AAFCO nutritional levels for all life stages of dogs. Nutritional and healthy ‘clean’ .
It was perfect for my 15+ Weimaraner which has developed meat allergy. Egg Square is healthy, nutritionally balanced and suitable for the most sensitive digestive systems.

Great for dogs with Allergies
I have two dogs: 1 is allergic to practically everything and the other can eat anything. I give them both this kibble for dinner (I make my own breakfast of steamed oats, sweet potato and broccoli) so there’s no jealousy. The both LOVE it. When their doggie friends come over, they want this too. I know my pup loves meat, but the fact that he loves this stuff since he can’t have it has been a godsend

Impressive List of Ingredients
This review is starting with a short comment about the SquarePet line of dog food. I acquired 3 small bags of the SquarePet Dog Foods...Low Fat Formula, Skin & Digestive, and Meat Free (Egg based) formula to compare and I have to say I'm VERY impressed with all 3 recipes. All 3 start with high quality proteins followed by one of the cleanest lists of ingredients I've seen in dog food kibble. The absence of fillers means you feed less and thus have less poop to clean up. That's a win-win for me!Interestingly, all 3 have very little odor compared to many dog foods. I put a small handful of each on the floor for my GoldenDoodle Bella, and she eagerly gobbled them all up. I've fed her each one separately for a few days and had no digestive issues. Short of purchasing a large bag and feeding this for a sustained amount of time, I would say that my experience with all 3 has been very positive and I would have no problem recommending that you research each one to determine what the best option would be for your pup.I'm including photos of all 3 bags ingredients and other information for you to compare. The Meat Free Formula uses Cage Free Eggs and Whey for the protein (25%) source. Quinoa, Brown Rice, and Tapioca make up the carbohydrate portion. Coconut is in there along with Sunflower Oil for a healthy skin and coat. Most of the rest of the ingredients make up ingredients like Cranberries, kale, Blueberries, Carrots and Jerusalem Artichoke, Kelp and supplements to balance out the recipe. It doesn't get much cleaner than that! The result is that you need about 15-20% less food from the cheaper brands that contain grains and fillers like ground Pecan shells. I find that pretty impressive! One thing I'm not crazy about is the written feeding instructions, which are written as tho the dog is reading it. Honestly I think that's just unneeded. But that's me, and it doesn't affect the food. The ONLY thing that's keeping me from totally switching is the price. My current food isn't quite up to this standard, but it's close and my wallet won't stretch to this food. BUT I would totally jump on it if my situation was different. You get what you pay for and this food is certainly as high a quality dry food as I've seen... and I've researched a LOT of dog food. If you can afford it, buy it. I certainly will when things change for me.
