We had a plastic 'height adjustable' food/water stand that was about 5 years old. The bowls for the old stand had to be set 'into' the platform on top, which unfortunately allowed water to accumulate on the platform. This resulted in 'hard water' stains / scaling on the plastic. Soaking it in vinegar helped, but it still always looked dirty. I decided to replace it, especially since one of the 'legs' was wobbly.I really like this new stand! The main selling point: the ability to 'tilt' the platform on top at an angle. This prevents water from pooling on the platform - yay! No more scaly water stains! Plus it is very easy to put together, and it is super sturdy. Front-to-back, it takes up way less space than the old stand, which is nice in our small kitchen.You absolutely CAN place the platform so that it is STRAIGHT, not angled, if you'd like. How do I know? I tried for the life of me to make it angled, and could only get one side to tilt, so I just put it together the 'straight' way and then asked my husband to angle it - and he did.My husband thinks that these bowls don't hold as much food / water as the old stand's bowls, but I think they hold about the same amounts. The new bowls are narrower but they are deeper than the old bowls, whereas the old bowls were wider but shallower.We can't fill the water bowl ALL the way because it will spill out (since we chose the 'tilted' position for the platform) but it's worth refilling it more frequently because it won't require that we soak it in vinegar to clean off the water stains every week.The dog seems to like it. I don't think she preferred one over the other, as long as she always has food & water she is happy.

This works well for my senior dog. I highly recommend it. It’s really sturdy and has three levels of height. It’s easy to put together, easy to adjust the height levels, and easy to clean. I decided to spend a few more dollars for quality on an item I won’t need to return. Money well spent on an item that will last for years!

Loki approves. We like the stand and color and the fact it is indeed adjustable. It is sturdy and quiet.We dislike that size large won’t last my Great Dane puppy much longer. He is 11 weeks old and we thought this would be fine for a while. Oh well! Too bad there isn’t a XXL section in black.

we got this tilted bowl set for our 8 yr old dog who has some arthritis. It arrived 2 days ago; the item was very simple and quick to assemble. we use it in the tilted position; it is very easy to change the position from tilted to horizontal, and to adjust to one of the 3 different heights. it comes with 2 stainless steel bowls though we use a different (deeper) bowl of the same diameter for water so there can be more water in the bowl. the set comes with a wiping cloth for the bowls. So far we are pleased with the purchase

I ordered two of these, one for my smaller 20 pound dog and I ordered the small one and it’s perfect and it adjusts to two different sizes. I ordered a medium one for my 35 pound dog and it’s perfect for them as well. If you have a much larger dog, I would probably go with the largest size possible but overall they’re very cute and very sturdy.

The media could not be loaded. This was easy to assemble- very simple clean attractive design. But the most important part is how tremendously it helps my 15 year old dog. She was really straining to eat, and would nearly fall over from the effort in her hips of balancing and reaching down. Today she used this stand for the first time and not only was she able to clean her plate, but she was keen to take a walk afterwards. This means the world to me. Small thing, huge difference. I would give it a hundred stars if I could.

Quality seems high. Wood is very solid and does not feel flimsy or cheap. With bowls in highest tilted setting, the pins to secure the top do not fit entirely flush. One side fits as expected but one does not. The bottom support bracket fits together fine, but the top does not in every position. Still usable, but does not seem as sturdy since it is a loose fit on one side.
