Spigen Wall Plate Designed for Google Nest Thermostat Wall Plate (Included Metal Plate and 4 Screws) - White

Fits great and protects my wall. We rent so it also covers the holes from the other thermostat. Sits flush and doesn’t impede access to the thermostat. Installation was just as easy as a nest brand backplate and my significant other likes the look much better!

Amazing product! Made for thermostats that were originally mounted in an electrical box and the orientation of the box (horizonal or vertical) does NOT matter! Super simple to install - the instructions are on the back of the box instead of an additional throw away piece of paper! This saved me the hassle of having to add a piece of drywall and mud over the part of the box the Nest thermostat didn't cover. My only complaint is that they didn't have the color Fog available as a backplate so I went with white.There is a metal plate that screws into the electrical box and thank goodness the plate is adjustable so that it could be moved over to the right so that the plate would fit next to the door frame. The white top plate then screws (along with the Nest back piece) into the metal plate. Simple and elegant!

Bought a couple other brands but they did not have the metal wall plate for better support.This one actually has metal plate screws and cover.Full set !thermostat looks so good.I am happy with product.

Installation is a two-step process by first mounting the metal base plate and then easily mounting the beautiful mate finish wall covering plate with the machine screws provided! The Google Nest Thermostatwire-connection plate fits perfectly into the cover plate and is securely attached with two more machine screws! The finished installation enhances the elegantly designed round Nest Thermostat centered in the broad flat square Spigen Wall Plate!

I’ve went full “smart home” and needed to upgrade my thermostat.What I love-Very easy to install…I was worried about the install but it took less than 15 mins to install. The videos online help too-Easy to connect to your WiFi and can be controlled in multiple smart home apps-Perfect sync with the HVAC system- I swear my HVAC kicks on quicker with this than beforeThe opportunities-For some reason it will randomly disconnect from my Apple HomeKit app…keeps saying “unresponsive”. After resetting and rebooting, still doesn’t work. But it does come back after a day or so. May be more of an Apple HomeKit issue than the unit itself. When this happens, the unit still remains useable in the Google Home App.

Much better look than the ugly long oval shaped one that Nest sells.

The Nest thermostat (2020 model) is pretty small. My house is over 40 years old and has had 2 or 3 thermostats over the years. None round and all bigger than the Nest. The wall was pretty ugly without this matching wall plate.I looked at the "stock" Next wall plate (which isn't included and has to be purchased separately) and its shape didn't seem optimal to me since its edges are not flush with the wall. The Spiden wall plate fits flush to the wall and "snuggles" under the thermostat properly. See the pictures.Also included with the wall plate is a metal plate which would aid mounting the unit to an electrical box in the wall. I couldn't evaluate that feature since my thermostat mounts directly to the wall.
