Handy to have around!
I won't do a video due to the fact there are several already that I found to be accurate. This little device is very handy to have around especially when you live in an are that gets storms often. I just ordered mine and have been testing it out.Solar Panel:I won't give 4 stars on the charging via solar panel due to the fact they make it very clear that it's a backup method for charging as it's slow to charge because the panel is small. It does work and will get you through in a clinch.Lights:The light on the end is very bright and has a nice dimmer for times when you don't need the full brightness. The top light is handy for adding a nice amount of light to a dark room rather than just being a direct light. I'm happy with the lights they work nicely and the brightness is great.Radio:I found the radio to be clear and the volume good as well. I was able to find a station that gives good info on my area, which is important when hurricane season comes around.Alarm:The alarm is loud but it's not going to deafen you if you need to use it close to you in an emergency when you may want to be found or easily located.Charging:With the power cord it charges pretty quickly, USB also charges it pretty quickly if you have a battery pack charger. The Crank is slower and tiering but that's to be expected. The solar panel is slower as well as I mentioned above both have been clearly outlined by the seller. They are for emergency use to give you enough power to use the radio, light, charge something up.I do appreciate the fact that you can charge it with several different methods as well as a battery backup I believe it's 3 AAA batteries.Crank, Solar, Electrical Outlet, USB, 3 AAA Batteries and rechargeable batteryIt's very sturdy! It's about the size of a brick. The case seems to be a very sturdy well made plastic. It has a carry strap. It's not heavy but it's not feather light either it's just right. It has ports to charge your phone, tablet etc. which is always helpful in an event you lose power.I recommend this product for anyone that needs a little extra piece of mind should you lose power or just enjoy camping or to keep in your vehicle.

Perfect for the road
I dropped my old weather radio and broke it, but now I'm glad I did. We need a weather radio when we're traveling cross country in our tiny Rv. The old radio was hard to tune into local weather stations on the move. It was great for the house as it stayed tuned in to our local NOAA station, but it was not great for the road. This radio is compact and super easy to use. It's quick to find the local weather stations. It also has all sorts of extra emergency gizmos. I like that there are so many ways to charge it - hand crank, batteries, plug it in, or solar. Also great is that other devices can be charged, there is a flashlight and a reading light and an emergency siren. As I just received it, I don't know how it will stand up to actual use on the road, but my first impression is positive. It has everything needed in an emergency. I will update later if issues arise.

Good Value But Comes With A Lot Of Useless Bling
I live in South Florida where we get our fair share of tropical storms and more than our fair share of hurricanes and power outages so I purchased this radio for just such events. It seems like a pretty solid unit for the money and, at least in my area, gets great reception on AM, FM, and the local weather band. I haven't played with it much but for the few minutes I did, I was unable to get anything in Short Wave mode. Most of the other features are nice, but also pretty useless. Charging the battery to full with either the solar panel or the crank would literally take days, if even possible. At best, they will help the batteries discharge less quickly. The integrated light might be useful if the only thing handy when the power went out was the radio but you're better off with a flashlight or lantern in a power outage and not draining the batteries on the radio. That said, if the radio was handy, you could always use the built-in lights to help find the flashlight or lantern.I can't honestly think of a situation where I'd want to use the alarm. Maybe if there were a fire in the house, everyone else was sleeping, the smoke detectors weren't going off and you wanted to wake everyone up? I can say, if I was being attacked, instead of using the alarm I'd probably just hit the attacker over the head with the radio.Surprisingly, the mini button compass attached to the strap appeared to be pretty accurate but since the radio would give off a magnetic field (I don't know if they still put magnets in the speakers, but even without a magnet, you'd have an EMF field from the electricity). I'd hate to have to rely on it for navigation unless it was to navigate me to a real compass and, even then, I'd take it off the strap and make sure the radio wasn't near it when trying to get a bearing. That said, I'm still giving this thing four stars because if you just need a decent emergency radio at an affordable price and aren't concerned with the other "bells & whistles", this one does a pretty good job.
