Excellent Level 2 Charger For Most EVs
The media could not be loaded. I've been into EVs long before they were cool, and I remember when they used lead acid batteries that would charge off 110 volts. You'd plug in all night long for maybe 40-50 miles of range.Things have come a long way since then, and when you can charge your car at 240 volts and 32 amps (7,680 watts!), it's a whole other world.Think about EV charging like water. You can either use a 110 volt outlet which is like a sipping straw, or 240 volts which is like a high-pressure garden hose. Charging at 240 volts is not only faster, but it's actually more energy efficient. This charger works great for taking your NEMA 14-50 plug (a common dryer plug) and allowing you to charge at a much faster rate. I tested it at 32 amps, and it worked great. Just make sure you have a grounded NEMA 14-50 plug and not an older, more obscure plug. Please also note that this charger will work with a Tesla (as shown in my video) provided that you have a SAE J1772 adapter, but this charger is really more made for the Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, Volkswagen e-Golf, Kia Soul EV, Fiat 500e, etc. which already use the SAE J1772 as their native port.Don't let all my nerdy gibberish confuse you. If you have access to a NEMA 14-50 plug at your home, condo, apartment building, or work, all you do is plug this charger into the wall, then into your car, then select the rate at which you want to charge. It's incredibly easy, and this charger works very well to make things simple.Happy charging!

Works well, feels cheap
Like others have said, the mounting sucks. There's a 1"x1" plastic piece you screw onto the wall (with tiny screws), then snap the charger to this plastic piece. It lasted a week (maybe) before just falling off the wall. Had to improvise to keep the charger on the wall, see picture.Cord head definitely feels like a cheap, fragile plastic compared to others I've handled. I haven't dropped it yet, but wouldn't be surprised if it chips/shatters upon any sort of impact.Cord is also definitely short. 4m is 13 feet, but after cord drooping and not putting strain on the car connector you're looking at 8ish feet of distance from charger to vehicle. So don't put the charger much more than a hand-span away from where the car charging port will be parked. But it does charge the car, so there's that.

Just an okay charger. A bit flimsy.

Be careful mounting, can pop off wall.
Unit works great, but it is hung by a single screw that is attached to a small panel that snaps into the back of the unit. Very easy to have the unit detach from the tiny panel during hanging.

Works
I did a lot of research before buying this. I have used it a year and had almost no issues. I have heard my car honk like I just plugged it in a couple times but has never not been charging when I check it. I have also never woken up to my car not fully charged. I use it on my Spark EV 220 @ 16 amps. The red light on my unit does stay on all the time too but doesn't seem to be an issue. The cord is a tad short but I knew this going in and mounted it where it wasnt an problem. I also built a DIY box for it that mounts on the wall of my garage. The plug and head unit are actually inside then runs through the wall into my box that has a hanger for the coiled up cord. Works perfect and blends in with the house. May not be the best charger out there but I am very happy with my purchase and has already lasted over a year and still going strong so I would have to recommend it to others.Just had to add to this. I am using this evse on my second car and still 0 issues with it. Been in use charging regularly for over two years with a Spark EV then my Bolt EV and STILL going strong. The only thing I have done to it is blow out the connectors with compressed air because I thought it should be done.

Works well
The quick charge actually holds up.Going third party wasn’t always an option, nice to see the market is evolving with some lower cost options. We hired a local electrician and he was able to set this up with no issues since we have a breaker in our garage.
