Works perfectly so far, but get the extended warranty
I set up the Handy 7 today and am very satisfied so far. I'd been quoted more than $700 to add a wired backup camera to my 2005 Chevy Silverado, so this Haloview wireless rig for $279 (on sale) was worth a shot. I also liked that I could move the unit easily to another truck or trailer. The monitor view is big, bright and sharp. The camera is sturdy, with powerful magnets on the back and bottom. I'll be using it mainly as a hitch cam, and it provides a clear view of the receiver ball, with the camera positioned at the top of my license plate. The angle of the camera is adjustable, with strong detents that won't move if your vehicle hits bumps.Reception and range are exceptional. I had no problem getting a good signal to the monitor on my dash from the back of my crew cab truck, near the license plate. Moving the camera to the back of a large utility trailer also worked fine. Prior to purchase, I was concerned about spotty or laggy reception, which seems to be a common failure with a lot of wireless backup cameras, but the Handy 7 performed great.I tested the range of the unit by placing the camera on a vehicle about 150 feet from my house and putting the monitor in an upstairs room on the opposite side of the house - Again, no problems. One caveat: The Haloview website's customer service contact and owner's manual download functions do not work. This is not a good sign and I'd advise buyers to go for the Asurion extended warranty offered by Amazon.

Great System
The camera and monitor work very well, however, my 12 volt power plug only worked once and is now burning fuses the moment it gets plugged in. Tech support is in China, so I was only able to communicate via email, which takes a full day with each response. After several emails I was asked by the support person to create a video showing the problem, which I did. Unfortunately, Haloview stopped communicating with me without providing a solution - or so I thought. Right when I was ready to return the system, an Amazon delivery truck showed up with a replacement power plug.Once I got the system fully operational, I was really impressed with the image quality, functionality, and menu options. Also impressive is the distance at how far away the camera can be from the monitor and still receive a great quality image. I will be using my system to align my truck to my trailer, then move the camera to the back of the trailer while traveling.

Blinks off frequently. Product support isn't so good.
The media could not be loaded. Purchased it here on Amazon. It took months before we could use it the first time. When we took it out, it connected nicely, but within 15 minutes of using it, it began to "blink". The camera would stop working the image would blink off and I'd have to keep restarting it again. My guess is that something like sunlight interferes with the signal. It will stay working for a couple of seconds, or a couple of minutes, but it will turn off on your again and you'll just have to hit the screen's power button again and again and again to keep it running. I attempted to get support from the vendor through Amazon, but they required me take a video of it and send it in. Well, we don't take the trailer out every weekend. So, we just got back from a trip and have video, but it's too late to work with them through amazon now and their product support is in Hong Kong at weird hours. So, it appears that I'm stuck with it...I wish that I'd purchased something else... Something that I don't have to turn back on every few seconds.

Good quality
I have had good luck with this unit. The magnets appear to be good. I don't tempt fate and find an alternate way of attachment (ex. a tether, enclosed bracket, or make sure the camera is well within the trailer) just incase. Sometimes the signal can lag. The screen can be slightly frustrating from time to time as it is not intuitive to me. The battery life is good, around 7-8 hours. If i were to buy again i would look for the 1080 with the touch screen. Still a solid unit with a decent price point.

Amazing !
I bought this for a used motor home. I had been quoted $1,000 to install a wired 12 one! My MH didn't have the wires already in place, so this one was easy to choose. It works great, picture great and can be moved form one vehicle to another and one place on the MH to another. The camera linked to the video screen automatically. When backing up to my boat trailer, I put it on the rear bumper just above the hitch and can put the ball exactly under the hitch! I could even put it on the back of the boat to see exactly what is happening while backing into the boat ramp or the driveway at home. The magnetic plate is very secure, and the camera can be stowed inside for security. Can also add a side camer or two if you want all-round visibility.Great quality, great price, and can loan it to a friend if needed!

Solves RV parking issues
This " Back-up Camera" has been a game changer with maneuvering our RV into tight spots both at home and at campsites. No more yelling directions loudly at each other or misunderstood hand gestures. It simplifies connection of the visuals the driver SEES and verbal cues of the person giving directions to avoid obstacles for faster & more accurate parking. It also makes backing up to the hitch a much smoother process. Using this takes less time and there is no more frustration involved which makes our RV trips much more peaceful and pleasant :-)

Works great with 2 cameras set at different positions when I was backing pickup to boat trailer
The cameras had great magnetsBoth cameras did pair perfectly to the monitorIt has like a two second delay but when you back in slow and take your time you don't run into anythingAnd having one camera set to the side as well as a camera on top of the hitch I did it the first time perfectlyI can take these anywhere and use them on different Vehicles as well when hooking up trailersI do REALLY LIKE the red on-offPush button on the cigarette lighter adapterI recommend Haloview camera systemsI did not need to use this for distance... but for Accuracy
