I have a "thing" for flashlights. I recently bought all of my nephews new LED flashlights that were very, very similar to this Kinsach rechargeable flashlight. The two big differences are that the flashlights I bought each cost over $60 and were nearly twice as large (and heavy) as the Kinsach flashlight that currently sells for under $30. The Kinsach flashlight's main light is extremely bright - like you could temporarily blind somebody if you shined it directly at their eyes - and casts a pure white, not soft white, light in a very concentrated circular area. The right hand side of the flashlight has an area light in both high and low power, it's a warm white light. The left hand side has the same light except that it's a pure white light. The rear has a red lights with three options, solid on, flashing and chasing where it goes round and round. The rear also has the power plug (micro USB) and a USB outlet allowing to be used as a power bank to charge your phone or other electrical device that's can be powered via a USB port. This thing costs less than a comparable power bank that does nothing but provide power. This is the perfect safety kit item or household flashlight. Looks like I'll be buying my nephews some new flashlights. My only complaint would be that you have to go through all three main light modes to get back to to the "off" position. That means you have to go from high, to low, to flashing. The flashing mode to me is very unsettling but is definitely attention getting. I'd like to be able to access each mode independent of the other modes. Highly, highly recommended.

The searchlight ticks many of the boxes needed in an emergency: 3 different settings for the searchlight and 2 for the side lights which provide good tabletop light for those times when the electricity goes out. It's weight (light) and carrying strap makes it very portable. The bright green color makes it easy to find in the supply closet. We time tested it; The 2 side lights provided a good amount of light (one warm the other cool) for 7 straight hours before needing recharging by USB. It's a little disappointing that a full charge took almost six hours for which I dinged it one star.

This lightweight, rechargeable flashlight has a strong beam that can be dimmed to conserve battery life. It also has a strobe to attract attention, a flashing red light for emergencies and two lamps to general lighting. It is convenient and makes a good alternative to battery powered flashlights. Battery life is long enough for short term power outages of a night or two depending on usage.
