Will this fit a 6 year old

As long as this is an average sized six year old I would say yes for sure. We gave this to a friend for her 6th birthday and she still wears it comfortably at 8 years old. Though she is on the small size. Generally Melissa and Doug costumes are rated for ages 3-6.
