Don't Skip Out on This
I did not realize the Keurig I was given was missing this. I had begun to notice when I filled the water a musty smell. I ran vinegar though it, washed it all the time and yet every few days it smelled musty. I purchased the cleaning pods (shocking) and this to replace the missing filter. It is super easy to install and the water already tastes better and the smell is finally gone. If your machine is missing this, replace it. It is important and really makes a difference.

This Kit Works perfectly.
I like that this filtration kit came with the part that holds the filter. It’s not as sturdy as the original but it works just fine. It has a dial on top of the filter holder that you can set a date to change the filter or put in the start date of filter use. This holder doesn’t go in place as easily as the original so I recommend not setting any date until the unit is securely in place. Also, it’s not easy to see the dial information. I found using a flashlight and a magnifier to confirm your settings.This kit comes with a reusable pod which I feel makes the entire kit a good value.

3*, due only to it not be included with the machine, plus being quite expensive for a smallish piece of plastic really.Our Keurig 2.0 K525+ had been bugging us for a while to replace the filter which we'd ignored. Finally, we decided to change it, only to discover that the filter is actually sold separately.Decent product, although the filter tabs are quite stiff and the water tank fitting quite flimsy, plus the extra cost on a (at the time) $120+ machine.I guess the price can be offset slightly with the 2 included filters, although they are not official Keurig ones (ours were Geesta).Overall though, a good product apart from the downsides mentioned.
