Compact, light, cheap, and surprisingly bright
This thing was great. It took up very little room on my last backpacking trip, and lit up our campground much better than our headlamps. Plus, rather than having bugs buzz around our headlamps, we were able to easily hang this from tree branches and it drew the bugs away from us while keeping everything well lit. I thought the fold-in flashlight feature was nice too, but didn't use it much since I had a headlamp. Somebody spilled water on it, and it kept working without any problems (though I doubt it's advertised or designed to be waterproof, but I was glad it didn't wig out). This lantern does seem like it'd break/tear fairly easy if you aren't careful with it, but it lasted for my 3 day, 25 mile hiking adventure just fine. If you're looking for a cheap, compact lantern, I would definitely say to give this one a try.

Durable, bright
This is a nice small light. Has multiple modes: high, low, flash (not like a strobe though). I feel that the fabric that is exposed when the light is extended is durable for most cases. The light is brightest when the unit is not extended, you can use it as a flash light/spot light in this case. When extended as a lantern, it provides enough light for about 10 square feet comfortably. Uses three AA batteries and includes a clasp to anchor the light to places such as top of a tent, room, etc..

Great lantern, super bright, convenient
This is an awesome camping light. It glows super bright and makes late night restroom trips a breeze in the woods. I like how compact it is and it hangs really well with the lantern feature inside the tent. I think I will buy more eventually. So far battery life is great. I have used it for a few nights camping and haven't had to change them out yet.

Decent lantern, durability questionmarks
This lantern works well (bright with charged batteries), but the plastic casing and spring make durability a concern. This should be fine for adults, but kids that tend to drop the lanterns will break this before too long.

Illuminate
Hurricane, tornado, these lights shine thru the dark. Surprisingly bright, Perfect lights for power outages as well as for camping. Uses vey little space. Love them.

Great emergency light
Very handy little device for emergency light around the house. Not terribly rugged, but OK for gentle use. Spot and flood modes bith provide lots of light.

Absolutely horrible! Don't waste your money. Light doesn't stay on when battery door is closed. Very disappointed.
