Easy-to-use and install

These fit the bill for the kind of fishing I plan to do. Maybe not sturdy enough for some types of saltwater fishing but I believe they will be fine for the bass and crappie fishing in local lakes that I do.I did not like the fact that they are not made to swivel on a horizontal plane but only vertically. This was easy to fix with a dremel (or round file would do). To explain, there is a groove in the shaft that mates up with a raised portion inside the base that the shaft fits into. Once in place, it is locked horizontally. By removing the raised nib, you can raise the holder up out of the base a half inch or so, rotate it to the desired position and drop it back down. This seems so obvious that I have to think that it was just an oversight.I haven't used them on my boat yet but I do not foresee any issues with them.

They easily mounted on the boat. They are sturdy and work great

If you have Scotty powerlock mounts installed on your boat. These will not fit your existing mounts.other than that...perfectly fine rod holder.

Easy to attach to my chair, also comes with a flush mount to mount it to a flat surface. Adjustable for direction and elevation of the rod tip. Others have complained about the sturdiness, I dont see how a fish strike or anything else could break this short of offshore fishing. No problem for freshwater. includes a pole retainer lock to prevent a strike from pulling the pole out of the holder. The only shortfall I have found is it holds open face rigs in a awkward position, it holds the reel more upright than I like. Fine for bait casters, conventional reels, spincast reels anything that sits on top of the rod. The price can't be beat, $18 for one for you and your fishing buddy.

GREAT price! you can't buy one of these in any store for this price and they are ALL the same quality and design! They work exactly as they are intended. I have 6 rail mounted across the back of my lake troller and none have failed. Although the locking teeth that hold it into the base are not very tight when transit motoring, I haven't lost one yet. Sometimes they will bobble around when running fast over waves when empty, they stay in the slot. Angle adjustability is not infinite due to the size of the locking teeth. Hard and durable ABS. LOVE that they come with both the rail mount and surface mount. Would definately buy more if I had more rails.

Just an FYI, they don't fit on the square rails of my pontoon boat.

Product seems well made (haven't installed yet) and comes with multiple install options. Price is outstanding for this. Would pay way more with other brand names and pay for each installation adapter separately. Good value.

A little flimsy and sometimes awkward to get the rod out but work ok for the price
