*****Five-Star fish emulsion! From one who has been getting his hands dirty for 50 years...
I use natural organic favorites like ESPOMA Tomato Tone, BLACK KOW compost, and mushroom soil compost when planting seedlings, for their long-term quality effects. I was slow to break away from chemical fertilizers until I saw a video about the benefits of using fish emulsion with kelp to grow larger plants. I had to try it! The real surprise performance in growth came when I teamed up fish emulsion, kelp seaweed, and TEXAS Tomato Food fertilizer in my 20" raised bed garden. Wild Salmon emulsion is my go-to fertilizer at this time. I have used this product and found it to be one of the best fish fertilizers, and rates #1 in my estimation. The gallon size is just over $13 more than the quart size at this time, for a much better value. One gallon of Texas Tomato Food makes over 250 gallons of high-quality fertilizer. Urban Farm Fertilizers also makes other fine fertilizers for backyard gardeners like me: Rose Garden, Tree Life, Vegetable Garden, Liquid Lawn/Turf, Flowers & Blooms, Apples & Oranges. Simply make a fertilizer "tea" using rainwater for best results. A gallon goes a long way. Tap water should sit for a day to evaporate chlorine. I use it at the base of plants, not on leaves. I like to use it just before a soaking rain so the fish smell disappears quickly. If no rain is coming, I water the garden, fertilize, then water again to wash it in. Sweet pepper plants dramatically increased in size. One group of sweet peppers last year was over 8 feet tall, the shortest were 5 feet (Zone 7a). Prior to that, the tallest was over 7' and full of peppers to the top. I use 10-foot-tall metal t-posts to support and plant 4 peppers around each post. Alaska Fish emulsion has given me great results, but the price has skyrocketed. Organic Fish emulsion is very thin and not very fishy smelling. A trick to having a great garden is adding natural organic material/mulch every year. Microbes break it down and feed the plants. Kelp, biochar, and quality micronized minerals can help produce healthy, tasty vegetables and gorgeous flowers, regenerate your garden, enhance soil organism activity, increase red wiggler worm casting fertility, reduce watering, and protect from sun/weather damage. In late summer or early fall, plant a winter-hardy cover crop in every open space. It will greatly improve the soil by spring as the roots will help soil organisms flourish, keep the soil sponge-like and aerated. Cut the tops off in the spring where you plan to plant, but leave the roots in the soil. They will decompose and assist with keeping the soil moist. I'm trying Siberian, Black, and Red Russian kales this fall. It's nice to have fresh greens during the winter months. Brush snow away and pick them. Try what is best for your garden/growing zone. Nov. 3rd, 2024---Just picked (3 1/3) 5-gallon buckets of Carmen sweet peppers --- from 7 hills of peppers. The plants were alive and well, even after 30 degree temps at night several days ago. The peppers were prime and mostly red. Carmen likes cold weather---but I didn't know they could handle a night-time freeze. The plants were only covered by a piece of farmers cloth at the top. Teach a child to grow plants and take your raised bed vegetable garden to new levels. People will ask how you did it! Thank you for hitting the 'helpful' button. This old gardener wishes you the very best results in your gardening!

Smells gross works great!
Smells gross works great! Lol my plants love it I used it on a snake plant that I rescued off the side of the road lol as well as my string of bananas Monstera and a few others. The smell is well fishy obviously but it does dissipate quickly so there’s no worries there I used it indoors despite it stating I may want to keep the plants outside. The instructions are clear easy to use and my succulents could not be happier.

Made my own soil mix for marijuana seedlings and use throughout the entire grow.
I'm a medical cannabis grower in NYC and though I use Fox Farms soil that's a bit to "hot" (nutrient rich) for plant seedlings if you germinate using soaking and wet napkin method to start germination. I use coco noir along with worm castings and perlite, clean kelp seaweed fertilizer, bush doctor microbe brew, silica, a little bit of cal/mag and of course this fish fertilizer and a very little bit of non sulfur food grade molasses to give the microbes some energy.I mix so that at minimum 2 weeks ahead of time and often a month and keep it moist but provide oxygen every few days.If your pants or seedlings are every turning yellow due to nitrogen deficiency then def get this or bat guano. You'll see result in 24-48 hours or less depending on how small and or severe the nutrient deficiency is.The COTYLEDONS or small round leaves are what's browning and discoloring and will die which is normal as they aren't true leaves so that's not a sign of nitrogen or nutrient deficiency. I do however need to increase my light intensity as they can take the bump to 30% brightness now.If you live in NYC and want to grow or become a medical cannabis user please visit NYC dot gov. Of course use an actual period and for all else please grow and smoke responsibly.Update Feb. 8th uploaded pictures of the babies all after being topped after 4th-5th node developed. The big three pictured were only 6 weeks old with two in pre flower phase which means they still need a good regular dosage of nitrogen for the upcoming stretching and growth. So every week I feed 30ml in a gallon of fish fertilizer to them, they are now in 7 gallon cloth pots, you can adjust this to the max dose of needed 60ml but honestly it's better to feed half then wait two days. If they are growing more and are nice and green not dark and shiny and no yellowing then feed next week same dose, right before flowering stretch I did 60ml and from now on it'll be 30ml a week for two-three more weeks.Throughout the month they also get feedings of kelp, worm casting tea, silica, humic and fulvic acid, terpene enhancer just for the potassium and sulfur, molasses to feed the soil microbes and give more potassium, iron, magnesium and calcium. The new baby like the biggest plant is a Northern Lights Auto she's two weeks old in Fox Farm soil I've given a small 5ml shot of fish fertilizer and 5ml of kelp fertilizer and 5ml of root stimulator in 2.5 liters of water and pH to 6.5 since I'm growing in CO2 with 24 hour watering schedule.I'll ramp up her nutrients after I top her in two weeks. Organic nutrients take a bit of time for your plant to absorb since it relies on organic matter in your soil to break it down first so wait 48-72 hours after feeding. Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient so if your pants are yellowing from that this will work but is not a complete source of what your pants need marijuana or not.Update to Fe.18th my babies are flourishing, I will use fish fertilizer even in their following stage as they are in the photo middle plant is early flowering while the one on the left and right are in their third week of flowering and still need nitrogen, I even foliar feed the baby which is only three weeks old with fish fertilizer and cal/mag along with kelp and silica foliar feedings throughout the grow. Understand your plants will need nitrogen up until the last two to three weeks and phosphorus and potassium without nitrogen those last times then a flush and let the plant run through the reserves in the leaves.
