cruiser style seat but no spring
I been using ism saddle since 2015. My road had narrower one. I noted after a 30miles ride the seat was kind of painful, but at least i don't get numbness (a male thing). So when I got a hybrid electric city mountain bike I got placed the narrower ism. It seem to work better on road bike then the up right mtn bike. So I got a fat more surface area cruiser/ comfort saddle from ISM. ISM has 3-4 style. The original "touring" (not sure if they make those anymore or if it is just old inventory). Berkeley is wider at 250mm by 220mm length with 60 foam. Urbaine is a tad narrower at 205mm but longer at 235mm. It has 40 foam. Metro is like Berkeley but a tad narrower at 210mm wide, other spec are close. It does feel weird sitting on a comfort when i been biking on a narrower ism saddle all these time. Regardless I prefer ISM over typical bike saddle because I don't want ED or male numbness potential. IT has no spring liek some regular bike cruiser saddle.

Just What I Was Looking For!
So, I was looking for a bike seat that would avoid pressure on that soft tissue area that can irritate the prostate. On my previous seat, I would notice BPH-like issues after riding for 3-4 days. A visit to a urologist (always fun....) didn't find an enlarge prostate, but he did say that riding a bike using a traditional saddle can irritate the prostate and lead to similar symptoms for some people, and that I probably fall into this category. This seat has been just what I needed. It is firmer than other "comfort" seats, and right away I noticed that the pressure was squarely ON my sit bones, while the soft tissue between the legs was not in contact with the seat at all. The firmer feel is important here, as overly soft seats tend to "squish up" and make contact with the soft tissue even if they DO have that cutout in the middle. Obviously, the other major change is the lack of a traditional horn on this seat. I was worried it might cut down on power, or lead to less control. I was very pleasantly surprised to find just the opposite - I have FAR more power now, mostly because I can lean forward into the pedal stroke WITHOUT putting undue pressure between the legs as I would have with my former seat. And control is just as good - maybe if you're a serious racer, a saddle with a horn might be needed for that extra control, but for someone using the bike for commuting it is great! And for what it's worth, I'm not a slow rider when I commute, so despite the fact that I'm riding a hybrid road bike, performance is important to me - and the ISM, as I said, has increased, not decreased, my performance.

Not very soft, like it's supposed to be.
Bought this for my spin bike. Not as soft as I would have liked, but bike saddles are supposed to be firm. Solved the numbness problem, for sure. Well built saddle.

probably comfortable for some, padding too firm for me
I tried it, and it wasn't terrible. I considered buying a suspension seatpost to really give it a fair shake, but went back to my recumbent instead. Keep in mind, padding that is too soft will mush into your nethers and create more pressure on those sensitive areas, so I think they probably got the padding firmness pretty close to what it needs to be. I am a skinny old guy (I've been riding bikes for more than 50 years!), so I don't carry around much of my own padding. The shape of the seat, with the Manta-ray-head-like cephalic lobes was just too wide. If the lobes had been a little longer or thinner, it may have been fine. As they are, they dug into the backs of my inner thighs a bit. I think the construction quality was very good, and recommend you try it, especially if you have Prime. Comfort of bike saddles is VERY subjective, and you'll likely have to try a few before you find the right unit for you.

... put this on an Electra Townie - it's probably better suited for that type of crank forward bike design
I also put this on an Electra Townie - it's probably better suited for that type of crank forward bike design, it could probably tend to cut into your thighs somewhat with less crank forward. It works well for me. But it is pretty different from other seats, it's very very firm and all the pressure goes on your sit bones, none on your crotch. It takes the sit bones a little while to get used to this, but I do prefer having the pressure on there instead. The other ISM horseshoe one did not work for me because my butt was too wide for it - this Berkley one was wide enough. It would probably be nice if it had just a small amount more padding. But the firmness does keep everything totally on the sit bones...
