Great way to add carbon to your filter
I really love this idea it makes it so easy to either slide in or pull out the carbon without taking anything else out of the filter.....I recommend this product. 👍

GREAT PRODUCT
This product is wonderful. Our pond's water was brown and cloudy; they said it had tanins and we needed the carbon charcoal. We didn't want the bags of it so this was perfect. We cut the right size we needed and put in the filter and it's only been 48 hours and we see a difference AND we see our fish once again!

Good filtering matial
Works well as a filtering medium, not sure there is enough charcoal in any of these impregnated foam type filters to last long. Probably best to combine this with activated charcoal.

Used for compost pail
I used it to replace a compost pail lid filter by cutting it to size. I will update the review once I see how it performs.

Great filter fabric!
This is easy to cut to fin any project which requires a filter. ( I cut several so I could always have a clean-dry filter while another is washed.)

This sponge will make your tank smell like burned rubber and hair, horribly!
These carbon sponge pads will make your tank smells like burned rubber which is crazy because Carbon in a fish tank is supposed to get rid of odors not product them. 1 days after installing them I noticed a particularly weird smells coming from my one tank which had just been gravel vacuumed and water changed the same day of installation. I ended up doing another partial water change but sadly the smell strongly persisted. I finally emptied out the entire tank, cleaned it the best I could, let it sit and dry over night and the entire next day, cut a few new pieces from a separate pad ( same order ) for my HoB filter and placed them into the slots before refilling the water again. Needless to say when I got back from work that day the exact issue was happening but it smelled worse. It was also starting to happen to my 55 gallon with a brand new Marineland Emperor HoB that I had installed 2 pieces of the pad in the 2 back slots. The water is crystal clear, but it smells like burned rubber and hair, forcing you to clean every inch of your tank and anything that touches that now disgusting smelly water. If you can deal with a horrible disgusting smell then I guess this sponge pad is for you. As for me, Im not going to buy a single product from this place ever again and you shouldnt either. If you value your fish and all that hard work getting your tank to the correct parameters, only for a single not as advertised product to destroy all that hard work, i suggest you look to a respectable outlet and leave this one alone.
