Got these for my daughter's lava lamp. They fit perfect, and last a long time. Will purchase again. The lights dont get too hot, like some of them do.

Keep away from knock off that burn up after a few uses. These bulbs are the best.

You pay 2x as much for these bulbs and there worth it because they work. There an 1/8th of an inch shorter then regular appliance bulbs and that makes the lamp sit in the base flush. The filament is thicker so it stays hot for life. Appliance bulbs loose there ability to generate heat and keep the lava flowing after a month of use.

Not to hot or cool for a standard size lava lamp

According to my previous order history, the last ti e I purchased these bulbs was 2 years ago, so that would indicate to me, seeing as how I’m just now needing to reorder them, and out of the two lava lamps I have, only one has burned out, this is a great deal. As far as heating up the material inside the lamp, I have 1 very large model lamp with a pink outer metal frame, orange wax with clear fluid, and 1 medium Lamp with a darker orange metal frame that has hot pink wax, and orange fluid, and these bulbs, which fit each perfectly, both heat up exactly at the same time, and without any problems. The longevity of these bulbs is worth the price, because the hours (and years) they have lasted.

So far so Good... Time will tell.

Even though the bulb in my old, original 16” lava lamp (from the 80s) still worked, I found the wax sluggish and it would end up being in one big, slow moving blob, no matter how long I left it on. Another reviewer said his lamp’s wax’s performance improved with this new bulb, so I gave it a try. My old lamp is working great again! A lot more action and plenty of small to medium wax bubbles moving around. However, the bulbs in the ad were frosted. Mine came as clear bulbs. I actually prefer this as the coloured liquid in the lamp is more pronounced now. Edit: the pictures in the ad have been updated to show clear bulbs. FYI: this is an A15 bulb with an E26 base & it’s 40 watts. Update: after over a year & a half, my lava lamp is still working great. I’m still using the first bulb from this 2-pack. I turn my lava lamps on at least once a week for 6-12 hours. Great bulbs!
