The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - The Skyrim Library, Vol. III: The Arcane

This 3rd Volume is the perfect addition to every Tamrielic scholar's library
Much like the first two volumes, Volume III of the Skyrim Library: The Arcane is a worthy fan collectible for those who appreciate and enjoy the lore of The Elder Scrolls universe. This volume is primarily focused on the nature of magicka in the world of Tamriel and the planes beyond, as well as spirituality, religion, and the nature of the supernatural elements found within the series. It collects multiple in-game texts from Skyrim and previous Elder Scrolls games into a lovely hardcover book, subdivided into sections based off the books topic, including Magicka, Religion, Aedra and Daedra, and the entirety of the 2920 book series which gives an account of the last year of the First Era.Accompanying many of the stories are lovely drawings from the series, some will recognize the art from Oblivion's character classes, as well as concept art from Skyrim, and previous games. The art itself is fun to look at and helps to break up the multiple stories contained within while never detracting from the stories themselves. While there is plenty of art within (I counted at least 107 unique art works), the 231 page volume is still predominantly text, containing 66 unique stories (or individual books from the games themselves).I would highly recommend this volume for the Elder Scrolls lore aficionados and collectors out there, as well as the previous two volumes. Altogether, the stories while containing no new text not found in the games themselves, provide an excellent new way to experience the lore itself as well as appreciate the fantastic art that goes into making the games. If I could write only a single caveat to the books themselves it is that they appear to have weak binding, which means the pages can be torn loose if not properly taken care of, certainly handle with care and you shouldn't have any issue though.

Absolutely amazing books!!! Please make more
These books are amazing. If you are a fan of the elder scrolls then you need to own these. They're based on all of the available in game books but also come with awesome art.I wish Bethesda would make more of these books for all of the countries of Tamriels. Like and encyclopedia type of format. I'd pay what ever needed to be paid to make that happen.I love the elderscrolls and the skyrim libraries and Tales of Tamriel are all we have to connect us to the game. Hopefully we do eventually get more of these lore books.Anyway great books and look amazing in my personal lore Library.

Love it!!
Other reviewers are saying it's not worth it because it's mostly just the books from the game, but let me point some things out.It has color illustrations, and that easily triples its value. The illustrations are really nice too, they kind of resemble paintings. The pages themselves resemble the parchment from the in-game books, which I think is neat. For those who hate to read things on screen (like me), it's priceless. I haven't read that many in-game books in Skyrim despite being an avid reader because it's difficult for me to focus on reading while sitting there playing. The game always distracts me. I'm in game mode, not reading mode. The content itself is great! Obviously, they're mostly short stories. The author is pretty talented. I just finished the Feyfolken books, which are my favorite. It's a story about a guy who goes insane after enchanting his quill with the Feyfolken soul gem (a daedric soul gem).5/5

Very cool book
Filled with very cool lore and photos. All of those amazing books from the game are right here in these real physical books. I absolutely love the elder scrolls and having this is so cool to look through. It’s very fun to read and I would recommend this to anyone who loves the elder scrolls. The books are also top notch quality.

Great for the nerd library
I like having a tactile book that contains many of the books that are found in skyrim. I have all three, and they look great next to me laz-e-boy chair in the game room.

Great for Elder Scrolls nerds!
If you are into lore, or you are a collector, this trilogy is a must. It dives into everything interesting about the world of Skyrim! Fun to read and looks great on that nerd collector shelf! (Quality of the book and cover is really impressive too)

it looked like, and I was hoping that the wax seal was embossed. It is not.

The missing piece to my collection!
Came delivered in perfect, sealed condition. I've owned the first two books of this trilogy for about 6 years and never found the missing piece until now; really a great thing to own if you like TES (not limited to Skyrim) and feel like occasionally taking a trip down memory lane without having to re-download the game and set up the 200 graphics overhaul mods once a year! (It also helps to settle lore arguments when you start discussions with your friends, truly a great encyclopedia for that too.)
