At about $150 for a king sized frame, I think it was a pretty good deal. I’m not rather picky and this is mostly likely furniture I’ll be moving to a guest room eventually. It was easy to assemble and there are tools provided; however, I will say that you might want to use your own ratchet...the one provided was a little wonky but got the job done. I was able to assemble by myself within 45mins to an hour.It’s pretty sturdy, though I wish it was slightly taller. Fits a king mattress well. I don’t mind the color (black) and the faux leather...I think it looks good and serves its purpose. Depending on your furniture accents, I’m pretty confident it would blend in well with anything in deeper brown and black tones.

This was really a fantastic purchase. Yes you can buy an extremely similar looking cheapo version for half the price on Amazon. But this is still a wonderfully affordable bed and the finishing touches and flourishes for spending a little more really show. Starting from the assembly phase. Inside the main box was just one item--the headboard. And it zips open to contain everything else. It may sound like a trivial thing, but it let me know from the get-go that they took some time to cleverly design this product/packaging. Also, the headboard which zips open in the back would be a good place to hide money or anything else. I thought about stuffing it with bundled 100-dollar bills, but then remembered that I don't have any of those. So my next thought was to put the instructions and included tools and extra hardware in there. But I worried it might rattle around in there, so in the end I left it empty. Still cool though. The instructions were mostly illustrations, but did have some helpful English text. They bolts all used the same allen key size and they even included a handy little ratchet. Putting it together probably took 2-3 hours, but I did laundry and a few other small chores at the same time. Setting it up was fairly easy for 1 person, but moving a king-sized mattress onto it could be difficult for some people. I ordered the Olee Sleep 13-Inch Galazy Hybrid mattress at the same time, and that works great on my bed. I think the bed + mattress would be a perfect height for most people. I'm a little paranoid about my toddler falling off since he sleeps on this occasionally. So if I did it over, I would have bought a thinner mattress. The bed slats are bowed upward such that they give a springlike action which I think improves the overall comfort versus flat-slatted beds. I was slightly annoyed by the insert saying that by buying this product, you agree to settle any disputes by arbitration. I doubt that is enforceable given that people didn't even know they were making any such "agreement" when ordering the item. It says you can mail them within 30 days to opt out, but it's obnoxious and doesn't feel like a company which stands by their products. But it's not bad enough for me to deduct the 5th star from this otherwise great product!

I did alot research before buying this King Size Platform Bed. I choose to purchase based on high customer satisfaction and the incredible price. The bed is very well made and incredibly solid and the photo does not do it justice. Looks way better in person! It is a faux leather but the quality is so good it actually looks like real leather. The UPS driver left the box on the porch and didn't even ring the doorbell to have me sign for it. I guess he didn't want to have to bring it in because it was incredibly heavy and took 2 people to drag/push it inside.. To me heavy package means sturdy product..I almost had a panic attack when I opened the box because I thought pieces were missing but after turning the headboard over to the other side I noticed a zipper. I unzipped and all the pieces were neatly packed inside the headboard. I thought how Genius but I did not see this in the instructions or labeling anywhere but perhaps I missed something. It took 2 people about 2 or 2 1/2 hours to put together and the instructions were good. It may have taken us less time if we weren't arguing about who is going to do what. At the end of it all we have a incredible new mattress and frame and I would definitely buy from Zinus in the future. We also have not fought since sleeping in our new bed.

Edit: It just broke. Maybe it isn’t for kids who plop their bodies onto the bed. I have an adult sized 12 year old who allows herself to fall back onto the bed. She just broke the piece that holds the mattress slats in place and now they won’t stay on. She said the mattress slides off in the middle of the night too. Guess I’m shopping again.I love everything about this frame! I needed to replace my daughters bed and I wanted to go with something under $200 with a good rating. The thing that made me choose this one was “easy to assemble” in the info. Yes please! It’s very mature looking but not boring. I also like that there’s no gap between the headboard and bed. I very much appreciated the packaging. I pulled the headboard out of the box and all of the other parts were neatly packed inside it. The “easy to assemble” part is real. Some screws were already in place and just needed to be loosened up to slide parts together. The frame that holds mattress is metal, and the bits of wood used on the faux leather panels is real, solid wood. The legs are a very hard plastic. Makes the bed easy to move. I assembled this in less than an hour and I have one happy kid on my hands.

Outstanding value for a platform. Every part lines up straight and sturdy. Dimensions were as advertised. The black faux leather does not look cheezy.I almost bought the Zinus fabric full platform without the headboard for $150.00. The faux leather model with the headboard for the extra 45 bucks is a no brainer. I bought the platform for the Zinus 12" full size green tea mattress I purchased a week earlier.As reviews have mentioned on Amazon for this platform, It's cleverly packed, easy to assemble (even for one person) and comes with the ratchet for the screws everyone raves about. And rightly so as some of the screws are located in tight corners. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble. Most of that time was spent unpacking and in the end, putting the slats in place. A lot of the screws for the assembly are already in their designated spots. These need to be backed out quite a bit to put the side rails and boards together. Saves potentially damaging the components during assembly. A hint for installing the slats. Push the outside tabs into the frame first with the slats bowed up in the middle of the frame. Push the middle tabs into the frame last for each row.I weigh 220 lbs. This frame supports my bulk with no problem. No noise or shifting. I bought this platform as a spare room bed. It's difficult to put a quality adult bed package together for anything under a grand. This frame at $195.00 delivered is an unbeatable place to start. Unless you have paper to throw away, I highly recommend this Zinus platform.

Easy to assemble and nice. It’s just overpriced. There is $60 worth of the wood and plastic along with particle board wrapped in fake leather.But it works and it is comfortable as the wooden bows support your mattress and they flex, so your bed doesn’t feel like a rock hard box spring.In fact this design is what makes most online mattresses tolerable as they wouldn’t work with a box spring.I’d recommended if you don’t mind spending $100 more than the sum of the parts.Ours is a king size and it worked great.

Zinus has some of the cheapest prices for platform beds. I bought it for the labour day sale at an awesome discount. For this kind of bed you don't need to buy a separate box spring. Assembly was very easy and I could do it myself without the help of anyone else to support the parts. It is sturdy and not making any movements of creaking sound. The leather looks attractive. The slats are strong enough. But I didn't like the cheap plastic piece that connects the slats to the frame. As long as the mattress is on top of the slats it won't come off. One suggestion while assembling the parts - don't tighten the screws right away. Very gentle at first and then ensure the frame alignment and you got to correct it. Once it is done, then tighten all of them.Delivery was also done within a week of ordering. But Fedex was a disappointment since they were not ready to leave the package at front door in my absence whereas UPS does it at a click of a button.

Remarkable engineering! The bed frame arrives in one box. All the parts are inside the headboard. Instructions are very clear, my only suggestion would be to loosen the bolts more than slightly so that you can easily assemble. I reduced my rating by one star only because of the thinnest of the faux leather and lining. It is very easy to tear when assembling if you don't loosen the bolts more than slightly. We purchased 4 of these frames and are very pleased with the framing and the box like spring to the slates. The bed is very economical and looks amazing in our spare bedrooms. It provides a great night's sleep for our guests.

This is the third platform bed I've bought and was the easiest to assemble by far. I love that the slates are inclosed into the frame so they don't move. Seems pretty solid and all pieces fit very secure. I also suggest not to tighten the head and footboard too tight till all slates are in.
