Nice basic foot soak. When added to hot water, with epsom salts, definitely relieves foot pain and aides in flexibility. Dissolved quickly, with no obvious smell. Well worth the extra expense.

Love that this contains no chemicals or fragrances like most epsom salt products. It was hard to find a non toxic version in stores that also provided us the relief we needed. This provides much needed muscle relief and healing without any of the toxic ingredients present in most alternatives. Both my husband and I love it so much we buy more every time we run out.

These magnesium chloride flakes are pretty cool. I use them in my homemade bath salt blends. The last one I made was the Spirulina Detox Bath Salts, which have incredible pain relieving, muscle relaxing and anxiety busting benefits. Along with these magensium flakes, I used Pink Himalayan Salt, Epsom Salt and Dead Sea Salt, MSM, Spirulina Powder, plus pain relieving essential oils and healing plant oils like hemp seed oil. I'm treating my mom for her arthritis and she swears by this original bath blend. It cuts down on her stiffness in the morning and helps to ease pain and tension in her hips.The magnesium flakes come in larger and harder pieces than I expected, but they can be broken down and crushed, and they melt easily in warm water. They sort of feel like seaglass with their smooth but slightly sticky surface. Magnesium is essential for optimal health, balanced mood, sleep, energy and cognition, and Asutra is a tried and true company. The magnesium flakes come in a nice plastic jar with a mini wooden scoop. The flakes were originally stuck on the scoop but they eventually came off with warm water. This works very well for my aches and pains. I mix up a spray bottle with it and spray away.

I'm going to try their Slim & Detox also.An update to these flakes: I decided to try something I had read and make the magnesium oil from these flakes using 1/2 cup of flakes and 1/2 cup warm water--not hot. I mixed them and put in a spray bottle for my husband to use on his legs which often cramp at night. He put some hand cream on his calves as usual (but instead of using another magnesium spray from another company--he used this new oil). Boy, could he tell a difference!!I decided to try out with an elderly friend (80 years old) for her arthritis. After her shower I rubbed her neck and shoulders and lower back with regular body lotion (I used Dove) and then sprayed this oil on and rubbed in. She went all morning without complaining and wasn't even complaining by 3:00 except to let me know that I could come any night and rub her down to help her sleep. She usually uses an expensive pain ointment which only helps some--not as much as this one did!! She was up and about for most of the day and felt better than usual.

After going gluten free, I found myself having problems with low energy and muscle cramping, which generally indicates low magnesium levels. Oral magnesium supplements are not very effective, but I didn't want to get into a big production trying alternatives. The magnesium flakes are surprisingly easy to use in a bath or foot soaks - relaxing and enjoyable to use, actually - and skin absorption is supposed to be the most effective way to supplement magnesium, so it's win win. Beware of magnesium products that contain anything other than pure magnesium flakes because it will completely defeat the purpose and you'll be throwing your money away. Asutra's magnesium flakes are the real deal. Product was delivered promptly, the seller was great to work with (I had problems with the free download) and my own research confirmed all the info in the free download. While it will take a while to bring my magnesium levels back up to where they should be, I'm having the pleasant surprise of my blood pressure and blood sugar consistently going down as well. Another added benefit of magnesium. I should add too, I was impressed enough with both the product and the seller that I ordered a couple more things to try.

I am so glad I got this product when I did. For Mother's Day, my son gave me a day at a spa. I had a massage and the therapist suggested I try some magnesium flakes for tight,sore,muscles. I ordered them through Amazon that day. This past weekend, I participated in a tennis tournament. I played in two different groups- women's doubles and mixed doubles. It ended up that I had to play 4 times in one day! It was crazy but that night, for the first time, I tried the bath soak with magnesium flakes. I couldn't tell it was doing anything as I soaked for 30 minutes. I went to bed and slept really good. When I woke up and got out of bed, I couldn't believe I wasn't sore! Also no leg cramps during the night! All day the next day, I felt great! I am not young. I am 59! So I have to say this works! My massage therapist suggested I take these baths with this 3 times a week then gradually decrease, so I will try that. The company is really good and cares that you are 100% happy!
