useful for camping, heavy duty.

Just back from a 24 day trip on Alaska's Noatak river. We tried to use this stove day after day with little or no success. It seems to be burning well for a while but just never quite puts out enough heat to boil two quarts of water. We tried everything; one morning I spent just over an hour splintering bone dry spruce and feeding it constantly into the stove piece by piece. No boil. This product also tends to clog up with unburned material at the back blocking air flow; can't use it long before it needs to be cleaned out. We finally admitted defeat and gave it to a local along the river. I suspect it will end up being used as a boat anchor.

built very well. works as described. good enough for heating a small pot of water for a hot drink or adding to dehydrated food which one would most likely be doing on a backpacking trip, but way too heavy for a backpack.

This is great to use while camping and I've even used this at my house to make a pot of chili....easy to use and I was amazed at how little fuel it needed

It was more heavy duty than I anticipated. It's a lifetime purchase for the outdoors. I highly recommend the rocket stove for outdoor lovers.
