IRiS Keypad

Many of the poor reviews I have seen on these keypads have been in response to them dropping a connection with the iris hub.However, I've been using these with Smartthings with great success. If you are a DIY-er or are somewhat technical, it should take you about 15-30 minutes to get this working with Smartthings. You'll need to login to the developer section of smartthings and create 1) a device handler and 2) custom smartapp. From there, all of the code has been developed by the community, so you can simply copy-paste the code for the handler and app. Search Google or Github for "user-lock-manager" and you should find it.

Worked great with my SmartThings hub after installing a custom Device Type Handler and SmartApp. I do wish it was a little less chunky; however, I might be able to work around that by mounting it slightly indented within the wall. In any case; a great product that adds some sorely missing functionality to the SmartThings hub and built-in alarm system.

This version 2 of the IRiS Keypad is a bit clunky and does not have the best layout. But it does work. It's just not sleek and not something I would want to have on the wall but rather hidden in a cabinet. It also uses special and expensive lithium batteries so that's another hassle. The next version, the IL021 aka version 3, is still clunky but looks a bit better and has a more functional layout. I ended up returning this keypad and going with the version 3 one (which has its own issues too!). Works great with SmartThings as a ZigBee device.

Love this thing, actually purchased 2 of them to use with SmartThings and it works great! Even has a light on it to tell you when the system is armed/away armed/stay and disarmed.Would absolutely recommend if you need a keypad for SmartThings

Works great with SmartThings if you want to add a traditional security system keypad to you home automation (great for guests).

One of the best, most consistent pieces of my Smart Home. Wasn't expecting it to work as well, as consistently, and as long (on the batteries) as it has. Very happy with this unit.

I have this system at my house. Works great! I set it off all the time cause I forget to turn it off before going outside! EASY setup, perfect for my family :)
