This is ideal for someone that doesn’t use everyday. It’s not the highest quality but you should know this before purchasing based on price. This for someone that’s trying to save money by rebuilding a cylinder themselves and it’s perfect for that. It’s not intended for the diesel mechanic that relies on it every day .

Used to rebuild seals on bucket, arm, & boom cylinders for Bobcat excavator. Items worked well for my needs as a infrequently used tool(s). The inner seal folding tools were great for the rod seal. The pin spanners would not hold up for long in a professional shop, but worked fine for individual, infrequent use. Was worth the price charged. One star off for the large pine spanner design. Should have 3/4" drive hole on both legs as the smaller 1/2" dive spanner does and also should have a bolt/lock nut instead of allen screw for setting jaw width.

Ok, bit pricey. I'll update after using the tool. Rebuilding a tractor hydraulic cylinder. Arrived on time. This was a returned kit. 10$ cheaper than new. So far all tools appear to be here.6/5/25 update. Tool was not suitable for my job. Complaints include: the jaws of the end cap tool have no way of locking into end cap grooves. The rounded tips just roll out of end cap as you apply pressure. I'm now looking at other style tools.

All of today's tools have quality issues. They work but care must be given to not bend or break them, even when performing the tasks they were made for.
