MUSTART Level 2 Portable EV Charger (240 Volt, 25ft Cable, 40 Amp), Electric Vehicle Charger Plug-in EV Charging Station with NEMA 10-50P (Update Version)

I purchased this originally to charge a Nissan Leaf, after about a year I ended up buying a Tesla and the charger didn't charge the Tesla, I contacted support, they promptly sent me a replacement that charges both cars, I highly recommend this company and products, a happy customer.

Great charger. At 26 AMPS charges a TESLA Y long range from 20% to the Recommended 90% in just over 9 hours. If you do not need to routinely charge to full at home at some record-breaking speed, then this will do the trick. A 9 hour overnight charge seems about right. The only drawback to this charger in my particular situation, is that the Government of Quebec will rebate up to $600 for the purchase of an EV charger, as long as that charger is on their list. This charger is not, BUT, I wrote to the North American distribution agent and they are completing the approval process to get on that list.

I bought this charger for my Hyundai Kona EV about 18 months ago. You just plug it in and it works flawlessly. Last month it stopped working and after some discussion with customer service they sent me a free replacement.

Excellent product so far. It costs almost half of what the Tesla name brand level 2 charger costs and works just as well if not better! I own a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and I use this as my daily charger. I got lucky and the gentleman who owned my home prior to me was a professional welder by trade and had a 250 volt NEMA 6-50 40Amp wall outlet installed to plug In his welding equipment. It’s in the perfect spot in my garage. It would normally take an entire day or longer to charge the car from empty to full with the provided low speed charging kit that the car comes with. That charger connects to your typical household outlets (110 volts), and its VERY slow charging. With this Mustart Level 2 charger I am able to charge the car from empty to fully charged in 1/3 the time. Usually at the end of the day my Tesla has around 55-65% battery left and As soon as I get home I pop in the charger and it’s all charged up to my set maximum within 3 1/2 hours. Also the Tesla model 3 comes with the J1172 adapter standard so there’s no need to buy one from the Tesla website or anywhere else. It’s located in the “adapter kit” in the rear trunk of the car.

This does exactly what I need and in less time than expected. I've often used Level 2 chargers but this one seems to charge much faster. Even from a near empty battery it rarely takes over 5 hours to get to full. it's heavier than any portable style charger I've used but heavy in a good way. The build quality seems like it will last a very long time.
