You need an Allen Wrench to tightened the two pieces together. I was able to open it without but would be better if a person could tighten it without a tool OR, even better, it came with the tool needed.The design is good and it’s easy to use. I really love the concept…just poorly executed.

This little tool has come in handy. It’s the perfect size and is easy to handle. Like an extension of my hand. I only took off one star as it is was very tricky to get the blade wedged into the wheel. I had to take the whole thing apart and back together.

Easy to use and clean

I was excited to use this for my sourdough bread. It was smaller than I thought it would be. Then We couldn't find the right size allen wrench to open it to install the blade. We finally did but the second time I went to change the blade, the allen wrench stripped part of the screw because it's so small so now I can't open it. Very disappointed. I should have just bought a regular razor blade.

Works amazing but the price is expensive considering this is probably 50 cents to build.

In the video it appears that you can retract the blade into the holder but that is not the case. The blade is too big

Allows you to be very precise. Best lame I've used so far.

I’ve used a couple different styles of Lames and this is by far, the best. It’s very sharp and precise. It’s tricky opening the wooden holder so be careful. I just store it blade-side-down in it’s pouch so I don’t have to unscrew to retract the blade every time. I love how easy to use this lame is!
