I bought this for my wife's little dogs as she had "seen a video" and wanted to give it try. Her original purchase was for the larger diameter leads (same type of slip lead). The little dogs hate it but it keeps them under control when fitted right. The surprise came when I slipped it on my 75 lb malinois. With the lead right up under her jaw it stops her in her tracks. She hates it, and will walk in a very slow heel with no pulling at all. This has worked really well when training her in public. My only negative is the length of the lead, I tied a figure 8 knot in the middle so I have a short and long lead for the big dog. The larger rope diameter ones work well too, I have one in each of my vehicles. Due to the larger diameter rope she doesn't get the "pinch" effect as well as with the small diameter. This works great and while I say the dog "hates" it and it has a pinch effect, it's far better than a metal pinch collar.

We are using this as a training device and has served its purpose well. The ease of putting it on and taking it off is very helpful. I would not recommend using this leash around other dogs or at a dog park - just in case you need to pull your dog away from another dog in a confrontation. This will tighten too much around the neck and may cause a problem. Best to train in a calm environment.

I had ordered expecting something equivalent to 1" lead and got something that closer to 1/2". It's just not what I need for a 50lb+ Husky but will work for medium to smaller dogs. Adjuster stays where you put it. It's comfortable on your hand (if you don't have to fight for your life). It's short enough for control but long enough to use as a make-shift training halti or small x-cross harness. I have yet to test durability but I prefer to ✨train✨ my dogs and not expect the tool to do the miracle.

I've been using this for a few months and have been very happy with it. I like the length and how it gently stays on my dog's neck without choking her too much :-) Recommended!

It truly seems thicker than a 1/4" diameter. I sew, and I would call this at least 3/8", though not 1/2". It was only a problem because I had a tiny shih tzu puppy, and it looked absolutely cruel to have him with this thick leash around his neck. However, it worked well, I liked the leather to keep the collar at the right size and not choke the dog, or let him run away. The color was perfect, absolutely true to the picture.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to put on, but not ideal for my German Shepherd that likes to pull. It almost had a bungee feel when my dog would pull, giving my hand a nice rope burn even when my hand stayed in the same spot. The thickness of the lead is to small for me. If you have a smaller dog than me, and it doesnt pull hard, this might be perfect for you!! I used it when my dog got spayed, taking her into the front yard to do her business and on car rides. Not for walks unfortunately.

I ordered this lead to help control my 9# cavapoo jumping on us and our guests. It works very well, is easy to slip on and off of her. She knows to behave when we bring it out. It's very well made and the pink is really colorful.

The product is easy to use. Chew proof- Not. My dog chewed off all leather parts in one day. But leash still worked fine

This is well made, comfortable to hold and easy to use. Hasn’t stopped puppy pulling but he doesn’t pull so hard. My only niggle is the lead is so long, seems all slip leads are.

I bought this just as a rope with a handle to tie to my kayak. It's not a 7ft rope, it's more like 5'6" and that's with nothing inside the loop where a dog's neck would go.
