These were creepy and excellent stories. The criminals in all the stories were sick and disturbing. I'm really enjoying these books

Another set of interesting stories of seriously vile individuals and their heinous crimes. It never ceases to amaze me how far into the depths of darkness some people will go. I’m not sure why I continue reading these books, but the stories fascinate me. Some are so horrific that it makes watching gory horror movies seem like child’s play. I think on some level I owe the victims’ families the remembrance of those decent people who were taken too soon. The killers deserve to be forgotten however.I enjoy the format this author uses to relay the stories. They are detailed enough to give a good picture of both victim and criminal, but they aren’t so deep into detail that they drag out needlessly. I can read a few cases and take a break, sometimes for a few days after the most gruesome ones. I’ve tried reading a few different books like these, but Jason Neal’s are my favorites. Not much sensationalism. He sticks to the facts of each case. If you like reading true crime books, I highly recommend these. Just don’t expect any watered down stories. He tells it like it happened but clinical enough I find it bearable to read. Solid 4 stars. I just can’t give out a 5 on a subject like this.

Like the first book, this one doesn’t disappoint. Very well written and research clearly done right. Attention to case detail is not missed in these stories. Hoping he writes more soon.

Once I picked this book up it was hard to put it down! I love reading true crime books, the first 6 books were great and now moving onto the next book in the series. Plan on reading any and all true crime series by this author.

One or two I have heard of but the others are new to me. Can't wait to read the rest of them

This book is an interesting read. All the books in this series are hefty books, but they're still easy to read and really get into the details of each crime. Great for those of us who enjoy true crime!

I have started to read this book in the last week. I have found it enjoyable, as a true crime fan. This is not a little paperback so I was pleased with the amount of cases it covers. Enjoy!

It never ceases to repulse me that humans can be so deprived and cruel. These type of stories remind us that at any age we need to be aware of people we don't know and watch out kids closely. I always wonder what makes these people tick and how one's mind can work that way. This is a very detailed book so if you can't handle Gridley details this book won't be for you.

I’m going to post this on all four of my purchases so apologies if you’ve already read this. The books are extremely well written, so informative and VERY addictive. It’s been a while since I found it completely impossible to peel myself away from a book to the point I chose reading over a good nights sleep. Cannot recommend all of his books enough. I left writing a review until I had finished them all and can honestly say, they were the best crime books I have EVER read. I find authors of true crime to be repetitive and focus on themselves far too often - Jason did the exact opposite. I also reached out to Jason via email as his contact info is supplied in the books - he is extremely down to earth and awesome to chat to. He also has a website full of images/videos relating to the stories you read about in all of the volumes! It’s super cool and definitely worth the purchase.

I really like these books as the stories aren’t too extensive but they do give you something to get your teeth into if you’re a true crime buff. They are well written, factual, with no waffle which is everything you want. Would definitely recommend the whole series.

Absolutely perfect gift for my wife. She loves true crime stuff and she said these were really interesting.
