Easy, effective, quiet.
I’m quite pleased with their performance. The units are quiet and efficient and easy to operate and maintain. I noticed a “fresh” smell to the air after the units operated for a few hours and now they maintain that. My breathing and sleeping have both had noticeable improvement.

PuroAir HEPA Air Purifier: Good Filtration, But Levoit Won Me Over
After extensive research and comparison shopping, I decided to purchase both the PuroAir HEPA Air Purifier and a Levoit model to compare them side-by-side in my home. While the PuroAir had some impressive qualities, I ultimately returned it and kept the Levoit. What I Liked About PuroAirThe PuroAir's standout quality was its H14 HEPA filtration system that captures up to 99.99% of particles as small as 0.1 microns. This slightly edges out many competitors in pure filtration efficiency, making it particularly effective at removing dust, pollen, pet dander, and various allergens from the air.The automatic air sensor was responsive, with the air quality indicator changing colors when detecting pollutants and the fan speed adjusting accordingly. The unit also ran quietly on lower settings, making it suitable for bedroom use.Why I Returned It for LevoitDespite PuroAir's excellent filtration capabilities, after using both units, the Levoit clearly provided better overall value. The Levoit offered smart connectivity options, allowing me to control the purifier remotely and monitor air quality through an app - functionality the PuroAir lacked. The Levoit also provided better energy efficiency ratings and more customizable fan speed settings, giving me greater control over both performance and power consumption. Its sleeker design and multiple color options integrated better with my home décor. While the PuroAir claims to cover larger spaces, in practice, the Levoit's more realistic room size ratings and comparable CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) for the price point made it a more practical choice for my specific needs. The Return DecisionThe return process for the PuroAir was straightforward, and while I appreciated its slightly superior filtration capabilities, the feature gap between the two units made keeping the Levoit an easy decision. For my everyday air purification needs, the Levoit's balance of good filtration with superior features and design simply made more sense.Final AssessmentThe PuroAir HEPA Air Purifier is a solid option with excellent filtration capabilities for those prioritizing maximum particle removal above all else. However, for most users seeking a well-rounded air purifier with modern features, the Levoit provides better overall value. I'm completely satisfied with my decision to keep the Levoit model, but may consider repurchasing Puroair for the bedroom.

Makes a big difference in dust and air quality if you have pets
I was skeptical when I bought the air purifiers. I have cats and dogs and seem to always be fighting their shedding. These purifiers are easy to operate and really do work. The fan speed is adjustable and runs quietly. They've made a big improvement in the air quality in my home.

After 4 weeks, very little dust collected. Seems to cover only one room. Quiet on auto or low.
I have one of these air filters on the first floor in a central area and one on the second floor, also in a central area. We live in the country and next door to a farmer. So, we often get a lot of dust when the farmer is harvesting. We also have 14 pet birds, one of which is a Moluccan Cockatoo, that produce a lot of dust. When I dust every 2-3 days, there is always a new layer of dust. My assumption is that this dust is settling from the air.I have had these two air purifiers running on high for a little over 2 weeks, and have noticed no fresh air smell as other reviewers have reported and have noticed no less dust in the air. When I first set them up, I was surprised the air quality light went immediately to green. Today I checked the filters, after 4 weeks, to see if they collected anything, and they looked as clean and new as the day I started using them. Since I also have a small desktop air filter that collect quite a lot of dust from the air, I am wondering if these air filters are working at all.UPDATE 02/13/2024:I have had these air purifiers running for a month. Considering the amount of dust generated from road dust on a main highway in the country, dust from surrounding farmer's fields, and feather dust from our 14 pet parrots, I don't believe these filters collect much. I have one on the first floor and one one the second floor. On the first floor, the air filter is in the living room that has direct access to the family room where my parrots are out every night for exercise and socializing. We generally get a lot of dust in the family room. Although the living room doesn't get seem to get as dusty and is easy to keep up with a Swiffer Duster, the family room still gets as dusty as ever. When I checked the filter in the living room after a month, there was a light layer of dust that could barely be seen. These filters are supposed to cover 1115 square feet, and our living room is about 300 square feet. Even though the family room is directly connected to the living room with a large arched doorway, I suppose it's possible this filter will cover only one room, and not necessarily the square footage advertised. If this is the case, smaller, less expensive air filters for each room might be more cost effective.UPDATE 04/23/24:We have now had these air filters for over 4 months. They do seem to collect some dust as we have one in the living room and I don't have to dust as often. Personally, I have not noticed any change in the air quality, but that could just be me. As mentioned previously, I have one upstairs near my bedroom door. This one I keep on the auto setting as it usually stays on low. I tried it on the high setting, and even with my bedroom door closed, I can still hear it. I am one that needs silence to sleep, so I keep this one on low. The one in the living room is kept on high in hopes of collecting some of the dust from the family room that is caused by pet birds taken out every evening. One concern I had was the cost of replacement filters. The "genuine" filters cost $75 for 2, but I found compatible filters for $33 on Amazon. In the over 4 months I have had these air filters, the "change filter" light has gone on only once on the unit in the living room. Since it had a coating of only fine dust on it, I vacuumed it to remove the dust. After re-installing this filter and resetting the "change filter" light, it has been working fine. I feel by vacuuming the filters, the life of the filters could be extended to well over 6 months and possibly even a year. This greatly reduces the cost of filter replacement for these air filters.I hope this review was helpful for you I will update this review if my opinion changes.
