Easy to put together. Minimal directions but every thing fit and there were no missing parts. It is stable and attractive, a good value.

Got this totally assembled - very good instructions, but the screws that fit into the metal parts were very tight and the back braces arrived bent at the ends. Fought with the screws into the back brace for quite some time and finally got them snug and the connection functional. Was about to add the final shelf and realized the end was visibly chipped. Tried to reach the seller to see if they could just send a replacement shelf, but was intercepted by Amazon who insisted the only thing that could be done was to have another complete set sent to me. I will put out the replacement shelf (hoping it's not chipped) and switch them out, and send the replacement shipment back to Amazon. Seems a waste of money, but it's up to them. The unit itself is nice sized, seems quite sturdy and as if it will hold my books well. These are serious, hardcover books of some weight, so it's nice to see that there is a metal brace running underneath the entire length of each shelf to prevent bowing. This unit seems much sturdier than the usual particle-board bookshelf in this price range. It's easy to move around and has a nice mid-century/industrial look to it. Great set of shelves for the price. Would buy them again.

The bookshelf is amazing. Very nicely made. My daughter loves it.

Fits in a small bedroom and the design gives it an openness so the space is not blocked and it seems smaller than if it was an enclosed box-type book shelf.
