This knife\ cleaver is fantastic. I am able to cut through all those things that I couldn't cut through with my other knives. High quality Steel, nice wooden handle, super sharp blade. The blade just Glides through the fish and beef. And now I can cut through heavy fish skin and bones with ease. Love this cleaver. Worth every penny

This is perfect for what I wanted it for in the kitchen. Works great cutting chicken wings or when needing something heavy and stout to cut through meet and bones. Not something I use often but what I wanted it for it's perfect. Very sharp, well made, comfortable handle and the finish on the blade is very nice.

This is my favorite knife.It's weight is perfect for me, it's heavy but not tiring. It was super sharp out of the box. The handle is the perfect size for my chubby baby hands so I'm not cramping when chopping carrots and other hard veggies.Slicing meat is soooo smooth, almost like room temp butter.It has good balance, my wrist isn't killing me from trying to keep it in whatever position I need it in.Comes in a nice box with a sheath.Only downside is if you use a magnetic knife board the cleaver has so much metal on it that it attracts teaspoons and light measuring cups/spoons. I keep it sheathed in the drawer now. But I can use a refrigerator magnet to keep the food from building up on the blade as I chop, so maybe not a downside.And have made a few blood sacrifices, thought, so be careful.

Seems like a good quality and value for the money. Just lacking for a little bit of weight, too light for me.

I've read about Chinese knives but never owned one. Since I read various sources that expounded on the wonders and versatility of the cleavers, I decided to try one. This cleaver epitomizes the characteristics that I read - chops vegetables with ease, parries, and is comfortable! Unlike many cleavers this one has the "hook hole" and a somewhat rounded blade for old school chef chopping. The 7" blade may be a drawback to some buyers but the weight is nice. It's easy to handle but still has plenty of blade for whatever needs to be cut. I've had the cleaver for a couple of weeks and LOVE it! We'll see how it holds up long term but so far, I love this knife and it has become my go to knife instead of my Wusthofs.

Got the one with the smooth G10 handle. Love it! Holds an edge very well. Great weight and balance. Very high quality steel that sharpens easily. Bought a couple more of this company's knives they're great also. They all have wood handles that do require a little care but nothing too extreme.
