This is just your standerd 2 gang bix extension. It worked very well for me.

This ordinary and very standard part was less than one-third this price the last time I purchased. The price of steel and labor have not increased nearly enough to justify this increase.

This is to expand a 1-gang garage box to duplex. As such it's adequate, but if -- like mine -- your preexisting box is plastic, you''ll need to work out good grounding. A green clip might do, but I chose to go the green-screw route. A 5/32 hole is the first step, followed by a 10x32 tap. If you don't already have one, Klein makes a good 6/8/10x32 tapper on a screwdriver body. Mebbe I should, but I don't trust the device mounting-screws to adequately ground the ring.Also, the illustration shows the ring with holes for driving screws into a hopefully adjacent stud. Mine came with slots that need enlargement for a #8 screw.

I had been looking for these everywhere. could not find them locally. Thankfully Amazon had them.Just what I needed. Recommend.

While the part was usable for its intended purpose, this is not an authentic Raco electrical box. It does not have the Raco manufacturing mark stamped into the metal [or any manufacturing mark for that matter] - there is also a noticeable difference in build quality. It might be a Chinese knockoff.. I was in a pinch so I ordered online and payed far more than what the box is actually worth..

Excellent electrical extender 4 S box attaches directly to a single gang box. I needed this item to containa Leviton 6375 Electronic Control Module for remote timer control of a 120 VAC transformer / 15 VAC output. This powers (4) #194, in series, lamps to illuminate my home address number box.
