I liked this leash as it was very easy to use

I've resisted this type lead for a long time, I hate seeing little dogs running out into traffic because their owners seem to think a 5 metre extension can only work at full stretch.No more worries.AND no more bad back!I have an excitable 40kg Labrador whose repeatedly lurches forwards, sideways, everyway !It had become unpleasant taking him out on a lead but not now!This lead has reduced the shocks to my skeleton and made it a pleasure to walk him out. He still lurches about but as soon as he feels/hears the ratchet he stops and looks back to me.A marvelous tool I should have bought a long time ago.The only change I would make would be adding a wrist loop. When we are in the woods and he runs free I have to carry the equipment, a wrist loop would allow it to "dangle".Also there are times you need two hands and one is holding the handle, again a wrist loop would solve this.(I know I can add a loop but it will never look as good as a purpose designed item)But, that aside, it is a very useful asset for walking my boy.

Easily used, sturdy and doesn’t hurt your hands my dogs love it

Overall this is a good retractable lead, lays quite heavy in the hand (a good thing in my view), and extends and retracts easily. Unless you get caught in heavy rain - is has some trouble when soaking wet. My biggest concern, however, is how easy it was for my pup to chew through the lead, weakening it enough so that it tore on a walk and my little young pup ran off in a field. Scary! And she’s only a small dog so the force shouldn’t have been too much for the lead I’d have thought. Had hoped to get more than 2 months use out of this item

Seems great - I have had a few various leads of similar design. Usually the rewind goes to pot eventually. So far all AOK .

Only 4 stars as I’ve only had the lead a couple of weeks so don’t know how long will last. Comfortable hold and locks and holds lock well. Tape retracts easy. Seems to be decent quality. It may not survive my puppy mind ha ha but if does get chewed it can easily be repaired or if at risk I could add a protective cover section.
