Q: If you connect it to a timer, does it turn on with just the power coming back on?

Q: Will it work if i close my eyes?

No. When you close your eyes it detects it and turns itself off. It will turn itself back on when you open your eyes. Blinking can trip it up.

Q: Is there a distance or angle I should set this? I feel like the light hurts my eyes even when it's further away and angled toward me
