Suchard Hot Chocolate, T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers, 8-Count Packages (Pack of 5)

I wanted to disagree with another reviewer that claimed this hot chocolate is weak. It is not. As long as you make the default size (about 7 oz.) it is great. I used to make my hot chocolate using nothing but milk and Ghiradelli Double Chocolate Cocoa Mix. This is also a great product, but no where near as convenient as Tassimo/Suchard hot chocolate. The Ghiradelli hot chocolate does taste better, but Suchard is of high enough quality that I now choose it for the convenience. The chocolate "milk" that is frothed up with hot water from the Tassimo does a decent job.Note #1: If you press the button that makes a larger cup it does so by adding more hot water. This will dilute the chocolate "milk" and produce a weaker beverage. (I know, this should be obvious.) Maybe this is what the previous reviewer was doing?Note #2: Check the pricing for a 2 pack versus the 5 pack. The 2 pack is often significantly cheaper.

I love this hot chocolate. It has a great taste - something you would expect from a coffee shop. It's not the best cup I've ever had, but it's pretty good. For the reviewers that are saying it's too chocolatey, I agree... sort of. My guess is that the Suchard makes it this way so the customer can add as much extra water as they want. And this is the key, you have to add more water to get a great taste. No, you shouldn't have to do this, but it's still worth it for me. I've tried the milka brand and you have to do the same thing, and I don't think that tastes good at all. I will continue to order this hot chocolate. With "subscribe and save", it's also a little cheaper too.

I wouldn't say this is the best hot chocolate ever, it's not the cheapest either. But, for anyone purchasing a Tassimo you are probably going for the ability to make a variety of drinks easily and this hot chocolate works in that regard.It is good hot chocolate, but it makes an even better mocha. If you take a Suchard disc and an Espresso disc, it makes a pretty strong mocha like drink. If you take a Suchard disc, a milk disc and 2 espresso discs it makes a pretty credible mocha drink as well.

There are two discs made by Suchards. One is as flat as a coffee disc and has no flavor to me and come 16 discs to a package. The other is about 2 and a half size of a coffee disc and is great tasting to me without adding anything just let it go through the machine. It comes 8 discs to the package and is shown on the add display when you purchase it. BUT BEWARE they want to ship you the bitter stuff in lieu of the good stuff so if you order 16 discs you get one package of bitter stuff. If it was pictured that way and explained that way I would agree, but it is NOT. So it is very simple to me, small disc bitter and large disc great. Bitter 16 discs per package. Great 8 discs per package.

I have always loved the Suchard hot chocolate. This purchase has me worried, however, as the product is not in original packaging, which means I cannot know if it has been tampered with or when the expiration date is. Instead of 5 packages of 8 ct product, I received a cardboard box of ten 4 ct boxes out of their package. I recommend Suchard, but not from this seller.

I used to buy the bigger disk of the Suchard hot chocolate syrup and enjoyed making mochachino's with it. Delicious!! Recently I have found that instead of the bigger disk of the syrup, I get packages of Suchard small (16 ct) disks which are inferior to the originals. Read another customer's review with the same complaint. Now i don't want to order anymore of these because I don't get the disks I want, just the lesser small disks.

I'm happy with the hot chocolate t-discs purchased for my Tassimo machine. Be sure to mix the drink once it's been made. I didn't do that the first time and the drink was not good. The second time it was just right though.

This tastes like old timey hot chocolate. It is also great if you want to mix it with your coffee. It has become a favorite for my grandkids in the winter. We love our Tassimo coffee so much we carry the pot and t-cups with us to visit. When I visit in the winter, I always bring this for the kids to drink.
