Makes my truck feel like i'm climbing into an Autobot!!!
I think these are wonderful! its fun just opening and closing the door to my truck and showing people how the steps work. I was kind of skeptical about the rigidity / feeling of being supported with these but they are rock solid! I like the "safety" feature and have friends that use that to keep the steps down for washing but it just seems like it would be hard on parts. I wish they would come with the on / off switch for washing up. I also would have like to see the dual port adapter included in the kit for the price it costs. Im not saying you dont get what you pay for but the price is alittle steep. AMP is an American company and Made In The USA goes a long ways with me, so the way i see it, I'm spending alittle bit more money but getting a great set of steps and keeping the jobs in the USA.Installation was not difficult.... just tedious. It took me about 5 hours with no help. Ofcourse thats from opening the box, laying it all out, reading instructions, watching YOUTUBE videos, and much self deliberation trying to decide if I could handle the task. I think with an extra pair of hands and the know-how that I now have with these, I think i could do another set in about 2 hours. Im extremely NON-mechanical but with the plug & play installation it was really no big deal. The hardest part is routing the wires, and that is really not that hard, it's just time consuming figuring out where i wanted to run the wires. I was just going to unbolt the factory steps to save me some shop time I was planning on paying, and then i was like, "I'll mount the brackets & see how that goes..." and just kept on going forward. probably saved me $300 - $400 in labor and earned me some pride in doing it myself. On a side note... I did not install the 4 lights. I had a hard time deciding if I really wanted to drill through the suggested part of the cab in between the pinch-welds for the minor illumination I would gain. I read some guys were disappointed in the light output of the included lights. So i taped up the ends of the wires, taped the tails to the main wires, and zip tied them up and out of the way. I thought about cutting the pig-tails off completely but figured i might find better lights in the future and wanted the option if that's what i want to do sometime in the future. The steps went on a Lightning Blue 2017 F150 Sport 4x4 crew cab with a 6.5' ft bed. Fabtech lift 6" in the front and 4" in the rear. Riding on a set of 35" Toyo AT's and Fuel Stroke wheels 20" X 10" with a -18 offset.

great gear!
I bought this to make it easier for my 92 year old mom to get in and out of my F150.I had someone install it, because I did not want to deal with the wiring, so really can't comment on installation except to say that the installer did not have any issues. It operates as expected and the step is low enough to help my mom get in and out much easier than with the fixed factory step.I never would have bought it for myself, but now that I have it, I'm liking it!I have had it for about 3 months and, other than getting used to it suddenly appearing when I open the front or back door (some sore shins) the steps have been great, sturdy, smooth, quick and quiet. and completely unobtrusive when stowed. So far I think they are worth the cost.

Coolest upgrade, get a lot of compliments
The media could not be loaded. Installed in about 3 hrs with help from a friend. Directions were pretty straight forward. The way the running board tucks up and under the side (hidden) makes my lifted truck look even higher. The running boards work effortlessly when opening and closing. The LED lights that cast down aren’t that bright but so look cool at night. I find myself opening and closing the doors just to show off. Very cool upgrade!

Perfect height to enter the truck.
A bit pricey, but worth it. Makes getting into the truck so much easier. Installing was straight forward. Took time to seal the connections and cable tie the lines. Manual instructions are more updated than the YouTube video. But definitely watch the videos. You'll need a heat gun to shrink the barrel connections.

Top notch quality...Buy it now!
I've installed a lot of automotive products over the last 30+ years and this is one of the highest quality products I have ever come across. The fit and finish of all components is amazing. I replaced factory running boards and these easily feel more substantial. Everything from packaging to the instructions were top notch. The quality of the directions made it a snap to install. As far as the product performance, I am extremely pleased. The lighting is perfect, the steps deploy quickly and the motors are fairly silent. I was a little reluctant to spend top dollar but am now extremely glad I did. After only one day of use, my passengers are very happy that I made the change and find it much easier to enter and exit the vehicle.Excellent job AMP.

Looks & Works Great!
Installed these back in November. We had a rough winter in Iowa this year, and one of the main reasons I bought these was that I was tired of snow & ice build-up on the OEM running boards - being slick and not very useful at time with this build-up.These boards work great without any issues, and are tucked away not open to a build up of snow and ice after storms.Installation took a little over an hour and a half and was easy and straightforward. These are a bit expensive, but for me, worth it. Wished I'd known about them earlier.

these steps are killer!
these steps are absolutely awesome. bolted right up to my 2019 f150. the hardest part is fishing 20+ feet of wiring harness down the frame rails and making all the butt connections. not difficult just tedious. start to finish with beer breaks, and pretty standard tools, it took me about an 1:45. the included instructions are not the best but there are 100 you tubers that have it all laid out and much clearer instructions online. not cheap but super clean and awesome, well worth it imo.

Solidly built.
Easy to install except for the LED lights, those are a royal pain. Taking off the OEM boards was easy, installing these was easy, running the wiring for the boards was easy. Running the wiring for the LED's was painfully slow - increased the install time by half. I should have just snipped them off the harness and been done with it. I replaced the stock running boards on my F150 because they sat too high for my wife to use. These fold out a few inches lower, and that makes all the difference. Also, they look good folded up underneath instead of poking out the side. Solid and well built.
