Walter the Farting Dog: A Triumphant Toot and Timeless Tale That's Touched Hearts for Decades--A laugh- out-loud funny picture book

This book was hilarious! My son still talks about it and it’s been a month of reading it. He has illustrated parts of the book in his journal. He really enjoyed the story.

Read this many times to our children and grandchildren when they were little. It was one of their most requested bedtime tales along with “The Moose’s Loose Tooth”. Purchased several copies as gifts.

I was looking for something to go with a fart themed gift set. The illustrations made me chuckle, and the story was cute. My bro and SIL laughed at the pics too, and the nephew has asked for it at bedtime again and again. I'd say it's a hit for a 5yo boy.

I thought this book was very funny, in fact, hilarious. Perhaps it is meant for people who have a somewhat warped sense of humor like myself. I sent it to my cousin who shares my humor.. I would not give it a five, altho I thought about it, asit is somewhat vulgar but in a hilarious way and a very human way. I guess it is meant for people who are earthy but not immoral in any way. I hope my cousin will read it to his grandchildren who are 7 and 5 and are always laughingwhen someone crepitates. Did you hear about the ninety cows who caused a fire in a barn because of their methane gas?I was sorry to hear one cow was burned, but thankfully not seriously injured. (This happened in Germany).Someone gave this book to my hairdresser who had it on exhibit in her shop. That is how I heard about it.So I guess others share my humor. Better than using the "f" word which is indeed shameful

I love to read this book ( and the rest in the series) to the young children I watch and make all the sounds of Walter! They love it!

My 5 year old loves these books, our 9 year old even hangs around when I read it because it's so funny. We bought the farting plush toy along with the books and I highly recommend you get it. My son loves making it fart whenever Walter does in the story. NOTE: I posted this review in all the books we got because they are all equally good, highly recommended!

Wow what a brilliant story. If you have a child who is book shy, this is the book to help them want to read. The story amuses all ages, from 3 to 90 year olds. I have always believed in Dr Zeus or Funny Bones books to encourage children, now I have Walter the Farting Dog to add to my arsenal. This is a straight forward story, no repetitive sentences, just plain good old fashioned Fart Humour.
