*******Several updates & pictures included******Who buys a rug online! After looking local I resorted to shopping online looking everywhere. Took months to decide and winner winner. The rug was shipped rolled up in a cardboard box. Inside it was wrapped in plastic with fabric protectors on each end. The color is cream and the looped part is goldish brown. The pile is thick. I was concerned it would be thin like a rug from a home improvement store where you could easier separate the strands and hit bottom. Nope! Very pleased. Feels soft and cushy. I bought a natural felt pad over 1/2 thick to go underneath. The bottom of the rug is not the hard scratchy weave. It's soft and the rug will move. One bed leg is on it so it won't move. I have the (2) 4x6 & the 8x10. The color & pattern compliment our light sage green walls & beautiful hard wood floors. It's just enough design to be a design without a boring solid rug. The cut out is great. Provides depth and design. Vacuumed great with a Shark lift away. Husband uses the beaterbar with no issues (non-adjustable). We have a chocolate lab , golden doodle& tabby cat. Cat hair balled or puked. Had my teen clean it up with baby wipes & it's perfect. Hides hair well & all three like to lay on it. For the price it's a steal. I won on this sight unseen purchase & would buy runners if they made them. Will add pics later. Have had rugs 1-2 weeks now. will definitely buy another 8x10 for living room.Update: For animal owners concerned about the darker colored loops-I have 2 dogs & 1 cat. I bought the 4x6 rug to go under two large studio tables so the dogs can lay there while we work. After 3 weeks of lots of use and chewing on some already heavily chewed on Nyla bones we have no issues. The loops are inset and the cream shag is what gets the most action.UPDATE: 9/24/16. Still love these rugs. Bought an 8x10 last week for our living room for $204. Seriously the rug we had down was 8x10 for $300 from Menards and NO WHERE near this quality!!! I'm going to buy 2 5x7s and the 11' runner after the new year. The rugs we bought first are still great, and easy to clean. Love love love this rug. Chocolate lab burned up water & food on it already. Cleaned up perfectly with a Costco baby wipe. Suspect is in last photo looking guilty.

well I am on the fence. I wish I had read all of the questions before purchasing this rug, It I beautiful. The quality is great. Its just that I thought this was more of a whitish cream color. Its really a tan/beige color with brown inserts. Very well constructed. I just received mine yesterday. I was so disappointed when I saw the color. It really does not go with my room. This isn't something you just roll up and send back. I am a Harvey flood victim and I have to be sure of whatever I purchase, coz its my money. The rug is gorgeous. I would not have bought it due to the color. my walls are the same color so its a wash. I looked at everyone's photos, it looked so white. not sure what I'm going to do. If you are looking for beige, buy this rug. it is well worth it.

Can't rate the stain resistance or if it's easy to clean as i haven't had anything happen yet. I have 3 kids, run a daycare, and I scotchguarded the heck out of it. Hopefully it will be fine, we aren't usually in the living room when daycare is in session anyways. Love this rug! Wish the grey was darker and the blue a little more vibrant but it is still a beautiful rug and extremely soft!**update 5/18**We received a full refund after finding out that this rug was infested with bed bugs that spread to our couch!! We are now throwing out this rug and our couch as 2 treatments and hundreds of dollars in treatment did not work. We are 100% sure that the infestation came from this rug since we have been self quarantined since March. Only thing to come in and out of our home from elsewhere besides groceries is this rug. Thank you Amazon for working with me so it is not a complete total loss! Of course... now we'll have to spend $800+ for a new sectional... one star for the headache and financial burden this has been but overall nice rug despite its creepy residents.

This is a review for the Savafieh 5 x7 scrolling vine shag. This rug came sealed in plastic including elastic caps covering the ends to keep it sealed. I cut the plastic off and my dog went to the rug, stared at it and began jumping around. I saw dozens of bugs running out of it onto my floor. I'm disgusted. Because the rug was completely sealed, these bugs were in the rug when they were shipped from the warehouse where the rugs are stored. I've never had any bugs in my house, now I have to search and make sure I got them all. I don' t have the time or energy to send this rug back - but it's my 3rd purchase of a Safavieh rug. Rest assured I will NEVER buy another. REVOLTING!

So happy with this rug! Stressful to buy without seeing/feeling, but we are thrilled. The color is beautiful and vibrant. The feel is luxurious. It came tightly wrapped and protected, and it literally laid flat within a few hours. We have the blue one and the cream one in the same room and they coordinate beautifully without looking "matchy".Seriously makes me happy every time I walk in -- that kind of blue. Pops.

I knew I was taking a risk with a light colored rug. We have small children and pets. But I didnt think our dark sofas and dark flooring would look right with a dark rug that would hide the stains. So I put this rug down and it is beautiful, soft, love the texture and pattern. Well first week we have a purple food coloring accident (how? dont ask). Purple dots all over the rug. I tried to steam clean it, spot clean with tide, elbow grease. Now it just had lighter pink dots everywhere. So I figured I had nothing to lose (and was really kicking myself for buying a cream rug) and pulled out the bleach. I used about 1:4 bleach to water ratio and........rug looked brand new again! No fading at all, even on the darker brown in pattern. So any rug I can bleach is a winner to me. Still looks brand new after 6 months of mud, ketchup, the food coloring, and even a magic marker incident.

The carpets look nice and are very plush. Felt lovely under our feet, but unfortunately there is a strong and overpowering off gassing from these carpets.My Husband and I both suffered headaches and nausea after only a few nights with the rugs in our bedroom and we moved them outside during the day to 'air out' and the basement on a rack in the nights.They've been in our basement on a rack for over a month and tonight we tried to bring them upstairs again only to be met after an hour with watering eyes, and nausea again. The smell has barely dissipated, so after 5 weeks I can only assume it isn't going to.It is beyond a returnable timeline even though we only had them in our room for 2 days.Where they feel very lovely, they are unusable from the perspective of the overpowering odor.

This rug is high quality. We tried two other shag rugs from a big box store and returned them because we weren't completely happy with the quality. After reading many reviews about this specific carpet, we took a chance and ordered it. It's very well made and should stand the test of time. I did order the blue-cream, but in hindsight, probably should have gone with one of the more neutral choices due to the longevity factor. Shipping was a tad slow for my liking, but once it arrived, we were very happy.

Bought this when it was on sale so I'm very happy with it for the price. The price seems to fluctuate quite frequently on this item, so if you like it I would wait until it gets marked down.

Love it. Best area rug we have had for a great price. The colour, style, material and the size, just lovely. We did purchase the under pad to go with it, very comfortable. The delivery was fast and at our door. We have been using it for almost a year now, still looks like new.

We love the rug, it fits beautifully. The only thing is when they delivered it, they left it in the front entrance where anyone could have taken it, they dident even call me to let me know it was there, luckly it was when I got off of work. :)
