Got this phone for a 2 1/2 week research trip to Spain so i could have a phone to set up meetings with research subjects. I've been here in Spain for a little over a week. It's fine for what it is and it was cheap. With a SIM card I got in Spain through the company Orange (SIM Mundo card, which I recommend) I get calls to the U.S. for 30 cents (Euros) for connecting the call and 1 cent/min which is very reasonable. Local calls in Spain are 18 cents to connect and 0 cents/min thereafter. My complaint about calls is that there is no way that I've found to increase or decrease the volume of the speaker when talking to someone. The calls are kind of quiet and I don't know how to make them louder. If I'm in a place with a lot of people talking it can be hard to hear the person I'm talking to.Texting is both expensive and difficult, since you have to type each letter by hitting a key multiple times to find the right letter. There is no T9 texting mode on this phone, which is frustrating. So I haven't used texting much. It takes forever to text some more than a few words and each text is like 16 or 18 cents, the same as a local call here and I could tell someone much more with a call in a shorter period of time. It is a bummer not to have data capability on this phone because there are some pretty cheap data plans in Spain if you're not a high volume data user. Oh well I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I don't have a data plan in the US. So I'm not used to that.Some reviews noted that they had a hard time getting the phone into English, but mine was in English when I got it. I speak Spanish, though, so I didn't care either way. I also didn't need the instruction manual, which some said is useless probably because it's only in Spanish and Portuguese. But I thought the phone was easy to set up. I needed a plug adapter to use in Spain since it came with an American plug. But the charger can handle the 240 volts in Spain so I don't need a voltage converter.

It took me nearly a year before convincing myself to try BLU. I purchased this basic phone because it was affordable and was claimed to have great battery life. Both are true. However, What makes the phone a disaster is that persons on the other end of the call hear a distinct and VERY irritating humming sound with every word you say. It's just awful. It doesn't matter which of the SIM slots is being used, the voice quality is absolutely ATROCIOUS! If you try to speak louder to overcome the humming...you will be in a shouting match with the humming...and the humming will win.If you're in an emergency and need to call 911, you might be better off trying to find a payphone so that the operator can at understand what you're saying. Ok, that last one was an exaggeration, but it's really bad. Don't risk it. This has to be the most disappointing purchase I've ever made....a phone that is useless for phone calls.

I choose this phone because of its price and the features that was shown but the phone does not have any instruction how the phone operates, someone has to call you to change the volume, the camera takes these miniature pictures you cannot even see, I am so disappointed in this buy and I bought 3 of these phones. the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the screen is so bright and it has the keyboard. The texting box can only hold 40 messages, you can only put in one number at a time for a person even if they might have more than one I can go on and on but I will say not worth it.

Good phone for price.

Very useful phone to have for my mother. I wanted her to have an "emergency" prepaid phone in the car. Wanted something that didn't cost a fortune monthly for something that won't get used reguarly. I highly recommend using 7 Eleven Speak Out! Their prepaid top ups all last 365 days, regardless of $ amount, unlike some prepaid which expire each month so you end up paying like you would for a monthly plan. Ended up spending only 25$ for a whole YEAR because my mother hardly needed to use this phone. Very easy to set up the sim card and add money, and the service works great with this model of phone. It's great for my peace of mind to know that she has a phone with her in case the car breaks down or she needs to make a call etc. Phone works well and has big enough buttons that my 65 yr old mother could learn how to use it after some explanation.

This phone is a basic phone, perfect for a teen's first cellular. It is not a smartphone but it does what it has to do: place calls, and text.My 13 years old son likes the design. He uses it with Fido and we had no issues setting it up. Seems good for the price!

good device for the price.sounds is poor but strong,tv feature with antenna is outdated since CRTC drops the analogic frequencies...double sim card , perfect as backup 2nd phone.2 years later after my purchase, it still works and i dropped it so many times !! strong device

Design is nice but sound quality is horrible. Also BLU got caught with spyware on their android phone. My advice is to stay away from phones made by BLU.

I bought this to change to 7-11 prepaid phone when my other contract due. This works just fine. I only need a phone. Per smart functionalities, I have tablets to cover them much better. This phone has good battery life and works fine so far.
