Bad reviews? Really ? The easiest Y-pipe manifold to muffler ive ever installed
I have a 99 chevy Silverado Z71 5.3 285287 miles on the ol girl an love her like the day I bought her off the show room floor .She has been faithful like all Chevys are .Unfortunately she started losing power .Replaced the intake manifold Gasket cause on this motor there notorious for leaking air on the intake manifold .still didnt solve the problem ,so I changed the fuel pump because the fuel pump pressure was at 42 psi an this motor needs 55 to 65 psi ,so installed a AC DELCO fuel pump ran a bit better but still didnt have the power it use to have .Codes were going off about the 02sensors which I had replaced recently .I notice that every time I drove the truck the temperature was running 195 to 200 an was very hot underneath the truck thats when I realized that the catalytic converters were stopped up ,So thats when I ordered these catalytic converter from Amazon an TYG or AUTOSAVER88 .I read reviews on how hard it was to install these an an things to be aware of which I found to be totally untrue . I order them Monday night an was here Wednesday Yes thats right 2 days an on my porch . So pull the truck in to my garage lifted it with floor jack just enough were I could roll underneath it with a creeper an have plenty of room ,this job start to finish took me 2 hours an 15minutes to install .Thats right that easy . I removed the O2 sensors first, then I sawzalled the catalytic converters off just like the thieves do an unbolted the existing pipes which was so easy ,The new Catalytic converters come with new studs gaskets and nuts . I didnt use any of the nuts because all the nuts that came off my manifolds were in great shape .There is no reason to remove anything like center brackets or the center transmission brace. You do not need to be a genius or a certified tech .It is a very easy job no need to over think this job .BTW my ol Chevy runs great no more engine lights and temperature is back down to 160, with the A/C on an no need to buy a knew Chevrolet pick up .If your truck is losing power an getting hot do your self favor an buy these Catalytic converter , Yes I did use a scanner but many times the scanner will give codes that are not always 100% correct especially when it comes to a stopped up catalytic converter .Im glad I replaced everything that I did .but most of all the catalytic converter. There was only one issue an that is were the rear O2 señsor goes on the passenger side ,Manufactures must know that its in a bad spot an must be addressed ,but it will work . I would definitely recommend this to anybody who needs this part. The quality is excellent an welds are magnificent

Fits 2004 Chevy Silverado...
Removing the old section of exhaust and replacing it with this one wasn't too difficult. Not sure about the capability of the catalytic converters but it hooked up just fine.Pros:-Installing this had a few issues as the O-rings as they like to move freely. <might want to use something to stick them in place while attempting to install it.-The parts fit well and bolt in place where they should.-O2 sensors threaded right and where they should be.Cons:-Main issue is the nuts and bolts they provide. They are cheap and very soft and easily stripped. <reuse the old ones or buy better ones.-Where the two pieces join did not come together to form a solid seal. The flared (left) side has a cut that runs down it (to allow it to flare out) and that cut is too long for the other side to completely seal the length of it. As such there is a 1/4 inch gap right in the middle of the the truck for exhaust to leak out. <It is an easy fix to simply puddy up, small weld, or install a piece of metal to seal it. But could have been just as simple to not cut the thing that long to begin with.

This product was a waste of time and money!!
The flanges, all 3, did not fit correctly against stock exhaust manifolds and in the rear by the muffler. Each had welds that prevented a flush fit, in fact they were not even close. To grind them would take too much metal away and weaken the area, probably even create holes in order to achieve a flush fitment ( I didn't try because it was visually obvious). Additionally, the welds that were made on this cat assembly were not very good. They had slight cracks on the edges and even a few gaps in the runs. What sucked about all of this is that I did not realize the flanges would not mate properly until I HAD SPENT A COUPLE OF HOURS GETTING THE PIECES UP IN THE TRUCK!! How could I know until I actually mated the pieces together? This was very annoying and disappointing. I did not take pictures because I did not anticipate submitting a review, I rarely ever write reviews, seriously, maybe only a few in my life. I was so mad with this product however that I felt compelled to do so. It cost me time, money, and much frustration. I have since used the junk assembly as scrap for welding practice and project metal, that is all it was good for, at least for me. Oh, to top it all off, the hardware that comes with the kit, specifically the nuts and bolts, are totally cheap, and substandard for this application. Finally, the instructions they sent were ridiculous!! I did not need them, but I provide this information for people who may need better guidance. You will not get adequate guidance from the instructions included in this kit. This product could be great for the price, but the one they sent me TOTALLY SUCKED! Maybe other people had better experiences, I certainly did not.

Part fits and works well !!!
Installed in a 2003 suburban LT with 5.3 lm7 (non flex fuel) It’s a little tight mounting to exhaust manifolds. The flange holes on driver side could be slightly larger. But took my time and it did fit. I didn’t use the u clamp provided I bought a SS band clamp to connect Y pipe section. Also the one O2 senor down stream after cat that’s along pass side frame rail is tight to frame. I’d suggest having a 90° adapter handy to go in that location. This has been on my truck for apprx 400+ miles and cleared my PO420 cat code. For the money I would buy this part again. I have 4 stars for mileage only cause it’s still early. 4 stars for installment cause it is tight. But if you open up the flange holes it will make it easier. Get the 90° adapter for O2 if your concerned for clearance.
