Great filter
First off, thank you to Loraine and BC who kindly answered my questions about this filter. I've only had a day or 2 to try it out but I really love it. Your answers helped me make the decision, so thank you again.FILTER: appears to be made well. Thick glass and heavy filter seems like it will hold up well.Yes there are circumstances where this filter wouldn't be suitable, but there are just as many, if not more, where it will turn out great.Quite different from the kaleidoscope filter which I already had purchased.I also bought the linear filter from this seller and it's made just as well, but quite different.I fell in love with photography as a teen in the 70's. Got a shoot and snap when my kids were small to make things quick and easy. The jump to dslrs is quite a learning curve as I'm use to doing things manually but this technology is actually going to kill me.I have the lensbaby lenses but each time I drop a couple hundred on a lens a little bit of myself dies a little. That is where these filters come in great! $40 is well spent on these awesome filters.

I don’t know anout this filter
I am really disappointed the filter came with NO instructions. I have never used a filter like this and I am not sure what to do! I can’t write to anyone to get some information.

THIS DOES NOT HAVE THE HOLLOW CENTER
So it's fine if you're looking for the whirlpool/halo filter that is full glass.A few reviews here say this one does have the hollow center--it doesn't. I know the images appear to show a dip in center where it should be hollow; it's not.Another reviewer said they ordered it for Christmas and had the hollow center, their friend ordered the same and it was total glass. I've ordered this twice now, about a year apart: both have been full glass.I've been searching for a hollow center version (got one on ebay years ago and it's now scratched I want another one so bad.)I'll keep searching. If you're also on the hunt for the hollow center version of this filter: keep hunting. Good luck to us both. ugh.
