Great product! Product description NOT so great.
If you're looking for a TV/monitor arm like this.... this is the one!First I must say the overall finished results are exactly what I was looking for. The product is VERY well made and double packaged in two thick cardboard cases. A thick inner cardboard box completely sealed with packing tape, and an outer thick cardboard shipping box sealed with packing tape and nylon strapping. This thing would need to be dropped out of a truck at highway speeds before it would arrive damaged. The good:Very well made with sturdy metal arms and a cast wall mounting bracket. Comes with plastic channeling that snaps into place to help conceal the cables running the length of the arm and some mounting hardware that could be used to mount to a concrete wall. (you will need to supply your own hardware if mounting to a wall with wood studs) Very well packaged! Priced extremely low compared to similar items found on the internet. In fact, the other similar arms I have found are PROBABLY the same item as this, just re-branded by a different seller for a MUCH higher price. The bad:Most of the BAD things are about the product listing.... the product itself is great.. First of all, this seller has two different models for sale. Both models are identical and are sold for the exact same price. The only difference is one model is sold with an extra optional bolt-on handle to help move the TV arm into a different position. The handle itself is just a round tube piece of metal and is powder coated to match the rest of the TV arm. (the handle is not very useful because it interferes with the movement of the TV/monitor at the end of the arm) However, the Amazon product listing lists different weight ratings for these two arms even though they are essentially the same. The model WITHOUT the handle lists it's weight capacity as 18 pounds, the one WITH the handle the capacity is somehow only 12 pounds. I have the handle and I guarantee it doesn't weight 6 pounds by itself. (it's less than one pound) I sent a question directly to the seller through the product listing page and received no answer. I have a 17 pound LG 4K monitor on mine and it holds it just fine.Another problem. The mounting bracket bolt pattern is listed as being 4.5 inches wide, and 6 inches tall. This is mentioned several times throughout both product listing pages. When I asked a question about hole DIAMETER (not hole pattern) in the question section of the product listing, one guy replied with "1/2 inch" and the seller replied with "4.5 inch by 6 inch" (apparently the seller doesn't know what hole diameter means. lol) Both answeres ultimately turned out to be wrong! The mounting hole DIAMETER is 3/8 inch and the mounting hole PATTERN is 102mm X 150mm. (which does NOT work out to be 4.5 X 6) Luckily I didn't believe either one of them. The ACTUAL hole pattern dimensions were found in one of the technical drawings found only in the product listing for the arm WITH the handle, not both listings. Thankfully I found them and did NOT take the sellers word for it.I wanted to build a wall mounting plate while I waiting for the the new arm to arrive from Florida. I needed to know the mounting hole diameter AND hole pattern. It's a good thing I did not take the seller's and other commenter's answers as fact. They were both wrong. I could tell the bolt hole DIAMETER was NOT 1/2 inch like the one person told me because I could see in a few other pictures that the bolts did not appear that large. A half inch bolt has a 3/4 inch hex head and nut. Way to big.If you're going to make a wall mounting plate for this arm before it arrives, look at the pictures I uploaded. I have all the information for bolt hole diameter and hole pattern, along with how I decided to mount the arm. It's a little different than the others who have posted pictures of their mounted arms. I used bolts from the back side with Nylock nuts on the front side, where most others just use lag bolts through the arm mounting bracket. I'm not saying my way is better, it's just MY WAY, that's all.If someone is reading this and considering buying this TV/monitor arm, and is "on the fence" about mounting it themselves.... don't do it. If you're not 100% confident in your ability to safely and securely mount this thing to the wall then please hire someone who is. This thing is no joke and could severely injure someone if it fell on them.

Great functionality, awesome price
I work late and this arm allows me to do that from the comfort of my own bed. Outstanding build quality and heavy duty. Easily supports my 24" Dell touchscreen. You should absolutely get the model that comes with the handle like I did otherwise it would be very difficult to place correctly. I suggest you mount it as close to colinear with your head as the monitor swivel only turns maybe 20 degrees left to right before it runs into the handle. What you see in the attached picture is the absolute distance off center its usable at because of the swivel limitations. The installation instructions are decent and you need to follow them to the letter otherwise it would be a monster to mount correctly.

Perfect Docking Station
Love this thing. It makes the perfect docking station for my laptop. I bolted it to the wall next to my recliner in my den and got a wireless keyboard and touchpad to complement it. I can just plug my laptop into the docking station on the table next to the chair, recline back, and work away. I can literally place the monitor nearly anywhere within a 6-foot half-sphere around the recliner. It's very well built and heavy-duty. It even came with a little leveling-bubble to make it very convenient to get mounted correctly, and has made a nifty tool in my toolbox for other projects.

Good value
I do a lot of work sitting on my bed, looking at a laptop, and the little screen and keyboard is annoying. So I got this to hold a much bigger screen in front of me. With a wireless display adapter, keyboard and mouse, it is much more comfortable. All the competitive items were three or four times more money. This one works quite well to hold the display in front of me and secures out of the way when not needed.

Good product would buy again
Ok I have not installed this product yet but the build quality looks great. Perfect for someone that has to be in bed for long periods of time. It costly but I think the value is there
