Sweet, compact
Showed my wife my other name brand ultralight umbrella and she said it's so long.... That's when I realized, yeah why can't this be like some compact travel umbrella.... Probably to be stronger, but when it's 2 in longer than my backpack and I use it for one hour over three weeks..... This little thing is way better for compact ultralight backpacking. 5 0z!!!

Hikers! buy instead of seven moon, zpacks
this thing is awesome. Use for hiking . 5.6oz on my scale. roughly 7" long. much better than 25" big hiking brands offer. easy to strap to hiking pack shoulder straps for hands free hiking.

Dissapointing.
Snow Peak makes good stuff, so I had high hopes for this umbrella. When it arrived I was immediately dissapointed though.I bought this as a back up because it seems the other umbrella I use is out of stock. This umbrella is tiny, and not as well designed as the umbrella I normally use. My normal umbrella opens and closes just by sliding the handle up and down. This umbrella needs me to manually adjust the end of each rib when I open it and when I close it. The handle is too small to easily hold, and the wrist strap is to small to put my hand in.This umbrella is lighter than my normal umbrella, but that doesn't make up for the poor design and tiny size.I gave it the one star on sturdiness because of how I have to manually set and fold back the ribs when I open and close it.

Crazy light. Not the best everyday umbrella.
It does have this sort of knuckle that reinforces the structure of the umbrella. So you have to fold the umbrella to its shortest length by hand and the umbrella has a dozen of these knuckles. Not perfect for daily use like using umbrella between classes. It's crazy light and the quality is 10/10 for this weight. It's really nice for situations like camping.

Just what I was looking for. It's ultralight weight. Opening and closing was easy, but entirely manual. I didn't expect an especially robust umbrella given the weight, but it appears adequate constructed and has a larger canopy than I expected.

Very light, nothing else like it on the market. I hope it lasts for the price. Best for ultralight backpackers.
