Had another version of this for years, that was on a stand. It worked great, but the material that coated the stand became sticky, so I tossed it out when we moved recently. I purchased this one a week ago and opened 1 bottle of wine. It worked great, no need for the stand. So far very happy with it, especially the beautiful candy apple red color. Hopefully it lasts as long as my original. Oh, I wish it had come with a foil cutter like my older one did because I threw that one out too.

Felt solid and strong on first use. I have destroyed more poorly constructed cork removers.

Yep, just a week or so outside of the return window, this well-rated wine opener completely broke. No option for zero stars, and no option for me to get my money back and buy something nice for the person who I gave this to for Xmas. Incredibly disappointed.
