This is a review on the OpenWorld Outfitters Pocket Sized Emergency Blanket.Pros:1. Assembled/stitched well.2. Easy to repack. Unlike some items made to be repacked, this one actually is easy to fold up and fit back into the provided pouch. The pouch is also attached and won’t get lost which can happen at times with other products.3. Durable. My 6 and 8 year old boys can be tough on stuff and the blanket has held up without a tear after multiple hiking trips. While hiking with them I used it to provide a dry and clean spot to sit down for a quick snack or break.4. Multiple uses. Wind, water, and sand proof great for many applications.5. Light weight. Overall a lightweight product but also weighted enough at the four corners so it won’t quickly blow away.Cons:Nothing noted up to this point.Final thoughts:This is a great product, especially for the price. It’s not just a blanket for emergencies it can be something you can use daily in countless outdoor scenarios. 5/5 would buy again!

This pocket blanket is perfect for my outdoor adventures. I live near the beach and within driving distance of the mountains so, I can use this in multiple different scenarios. Basically I plan on using this on the beach to keep out of the sand as well as using it to go hiking. I can fold this little blanket up and keep it in my backpack with ease. When I find a nice spot I drop it down and take in the beautiful environment. The corners are weighted and the fabric is well put together. This blanket is made of parachute fabric and the stitching is terrific. I would absolutely recommend all future openworld products.

Convenient. Very thin. Weights not strong enough for sand and wind. Easy to clean and pack up.

This is a well-made, very lightweight, and durable tarp, perfect for bringing to the beach. Because it folds up so small and is so light (despite its weighted corners) it fits perfectly into my pack without adding too much weight. I look forwards to bringing this with me on many more adventures!

Yes, it’s an emergency blanket, but it’s also great for a whole lot more! It is super compact and the material is pretty much waterproof. If it gets wet, it drys quickly. It has been great for rock climbing; it makes for a great barrier to avoid placing your rope on dirt. It is also ideal for lounging on the grass. Oh, and the material is sturdy. We’ve put it through the ringer and it still hasn’t ripped.

This product has been terrific. I have used it multiple times already hiking around the mountain ranges of Colorado. Every single time I want a nice place for either myself, or my dog to sit I throw this bad boy on the ground and relax! This is by far the best pocket blanket I have used so far. Love the design. It is also, extremely practical, lightweight and just great to put in my backpack. This should be part of every hiking trip.
