Black Spec-Ops Mini
My primary concern in finding a new wallet was: the credit card slots needed to open/face towards the middle of the wallet, not upwards like most wallets. That way, if the wallet is dropped, the credit cards cannot be jostled loose somehow. I was growing tired of leather wallets softening and expanding, putting my credit cards at risk for slipping (or flipping) out of the wallet unaware; This has happened to me before, and then I would worry every time I opened the wallet. It was surprisingly difficult to locate a wallet that met this criteria, which seems odd, because it is the safest and simplest way to secure credit cards.Having received this wallet yesterday, I was immediately pleased with the quality of the 'fit and finish'. I was hesitant about purchasing a wallet that was nylon, because I held a perception that nylon wallets are somehow 'kiddish'. The Spec-Ops Mini has a military look overall, but the black version is minimalistic enough that it could still be worn if you needed to dress-up a little.Noisy velcro was/is completely out of the question. THE Wallet Mini meets this challenge by providing a unique 'shark bite' closure system. This closure adds another element of security and keeps the wallet closed (which is actually nice when you think about it laying on a table). The Mini also allows for a lanyard option.THE Mini is roughly the same size (maybe 1/2" wider) than the traditional leather wallet it is replacing. It holds less than I would typically carry in a wallet, but I was meaning to clean it out anyway. All included, (licenses, cc's and miscellaneous other plastics) I am able to carry around about (10) plastic cards and more than 10 bills, and still close the wallet without a problem. This is about as big a wallet I would want, and still have it carry around in a back pocket comfortably. (The "Spec Ops Wallet J.R." is a bigger version of this wallet, but I personally cannot imagine lugging around a bigger wallet than the Mini.)The customer service was extremely helpful and personable on the phone, and was ready to stand behind their product with enthusiasm. A two minute registration on their website is all that is needed to put a LIFETIME WARRANTY on any products you may buy from them. That is really great, because it is not even necessary to send the warranty card if you do that.I would recommend this product, as it fits the description of what is being sold, is of top-notch quality, and is made in the U.S.A. by a company that stands behind their product.I will update this review after a few months of use.

Solid built wallet to stand the test of time & Man
I bought this wallet to replace my lost/stolen wallet that I carried for many years in the Army, through both Iraq year long deployments & into civilian life. So the day after Christmas my wallet fell out of my wind pants or jacket while I was hurrying to get out of the rain while running into a store. It was picked up on the ground by some rather degenerate type who immediately tried to use all 4 of my credit cards. I was livid & still am, but good news my cards, ID, etc were recently found during a traffic stop in Okc in a stolen car! My wallet was nowhere to be found but my cards & ID were moved to a checkbook style wallet. I recovered those from the police but not the wallet which had everything I needed from job history to military ID's, etc. So I am replacing it with what I thought was the slightly smaller version but it was too small for my needs so I am going with the junior since it has 2 zippered compartments like the big one. If you dont need to carry a lot of stuff like credit cards, etc & dont mind only 1 bill compartment this will work great & can fit most front pockets. Happy shopping & God Bless

Almost perfect
It is a regular sized wallet, almost exactly the same dimensions as my leather wallet from 15 years ago, the people who complain about the mini part believe that envelopes, money clips and rubber bands are a minimalist wallet... I assure you, you can find smaller wallets but based on the full size I had for past umph years with no damage, this thing will outlive the cocroaches and none of the other "wallets" my hipster friends carry last more then a few weeks without breaking at the seams or outright rub right through. This wallet is all about functionality, I have 6 credit cards securely doubled up in each of 3 slots and an ID (you will need to use double stick tape to raise friction to keep it perfectly in place since its plastic over plastic over plastic. Do not shove a 4th row of CCs in there, that pocket is for the Benjamins to keep them out of sight, you can triple up on the CCs in other pockets. On top of that you can probably get 10-20 loose bills in there but I don't carry change since CCs have nice kickbacks. Other notes:-Enclosure is very secure and can be snapped open with one hand-Checks fit widthwise but height is a problem as always with these "normal" sized wallets-Cash is very securely gripped by the bend but does slightly show from the top since the sides aren't stressed enough to form an arc over the bills-The redundant made in USA tag clipped to the made in USA tag is redundant and will take a scalpel to fix-Eyelets look very strong but I don't travel in areas bad enough to warrant a neck option-Just like the big one, this wallet can be clipped around any belt when you want to empty your pockets-Fits in all of my formal pants pockets, suit and dress shirts but is more visible then the leather walled due to clasp bump-Bottom corners are very compliant and should not cause undue wear to clothes-When kept clean, in black, this should go over very well at any engineering firm as it looks more like a deluxe HP calculator case then a GI wallet... coincidentally a deluxe HP calculator case was my office wallet since the big wallet would not fit in any of the above

Great wallet, well worth the price
This is my second Spec-Ops T.H.E. wallet and they've made improvements from the one that I used overseas 10 years ago. They removed the clear-plastic outer sleeve (although it was useful for IDs both overseas and in CONUS on my original) but there were times I didn't like having my ID exposed on the outside and the plastic kept it more 'tactical' than 'professional'.The new(er) design is cleaner and the shark-bite closure works extremely well (as it did my original).I use it has a front-pocket wallet, replacing a nice bi-fold leather wallet that I kept worrying about opening up (no clasp).Anyway, a great wallet that's even more 'professional' looking without the plastic on the outside.
