EXCELLENT! It is the LITTLE things that make a BIG difference. see review....
Excellent book, easy to read and important reminders for life's truths that we can't hear too often and some we might not have heard before! My favorite chapter was when he talked about his parents not allowing him to quit his 6 grade football team because his parents knew that either a "muscle" for quitting or a "muscle" for persevering was going to be developed. He didn't know at the time, but later his Dad shared that it was harder for his Dad, his Dad cried about it because he wanted to let his son quit, but knew there was a pivotal thing happening. Fast-forward and it was that perseverance learned at a young age that helped the author when his first book was rejected over 50 times by publishing houses.

Moving from erroneous perception to accurate perspective!
The first book I read by Andy Andrews was "The Heart Mender." Because it was such a delightful book, I wanted to read more of his writings. Last week I stumbled upon "The Little Things." It was an answer to prayer. I am a Senior grandmother who has reached a challenging season of life. I've had a wonderful life for which I praise God. But now, when I am almost 80 years old, it is easy to believe that my years of usefulness are behind me. After reading this excellent book, I have realized that my negative outlook has been the result of an erroneous perception of this season (and that of many others.) It was time to change my perspective! I have always believed that God has a purpose for us as long as we are living on this earth, but I wasn't "practicing what I preached." Thank you, Andy Andrews, for encouraging me to change my perspective to God's perspective--for emphasizing the importance of taking care of the little things, and for reminding me that God's Best is the very Best for me at every juncture of my life. I wholeheartedly recommend this outstanding book...

Thought provoking read
A thought provoking read written in a conversational voice. The message is counterintuitive to the majority of contemporary literature pertaining to leadership and personal development. Here is a call to ground big aspirations in the tangible details of our mundane life since these patterns are what defines us.I particularly enjoyed how the author broke down key concepts (e.g., perspective vs. perception) to demonstrate how attention to details factors into our pursuit of excellence. The book is accessible and refreshing...worth a few hours of reflection.

This is a book I recommend to anyone and everyone
Andy Andrews has hit yet another home run with his book "The Little Things". If you have read Andy's books in the past, or listened to his podcasts or any of his other works, it's no secret his style is one of transparency and personal connection to his audience. In "The Little Things" Andy has taken this style to a whole different level. In reading this book it was if Andy was talking to me personally. In fact he even explains as much in his Author's note, yet it's one thing for the Author to tell you this and a whole other thing to experience it. There are many personal stories, and even a contribution from his wife Polly along with a couple of other surprises. On page 119 Andy gives you the option to skip what he calls a "rabbit hole", I highly suggest you ignore that option; trust me on this one, this is a rabbit hole worth following. Each chapter has a principle so profound, yet so simple it has likely eluded your attention. Andy does a masterful job not only bringing your attention to these principles but also provides a story to assist in making it relatable to YOUR LIFE. I read through this from front to back, I won't say quickly as I had to reread many sentences and paragraphs to fully comprehend the message Andy was delivering, but quicker than normal because I couldn't wait to turn the page. I will re-read the book with highlighter and note pad handy as there were many times my mind conjured up memories from my past and struggles I am currently experiencing where I could put these principles in action. This is a book I recommend to anyone and everyone, but especially if you are a parent, a leader in business, an entrepreneur, or if you simply have a desire to gain an edge in this crazy thing we call life.

A Must-Read Book
Another moment of brilliance from Andy Andrews. This man may be my favorite writer and this book does not disappoint. Most books in this genre tell us to look at the big picture. Andrews focuses on small things that make a big difference. Small choice that yield amazing results. His chapter on offense and tolerance alone was worth the price of the book. Working through true stories from his personal experiences as well as other great people throughout history, Andrews weaves a compelling book that will no doubt do some real good in this world. This is a man who describes himself as a noticer and taking to heart the things that he notices could yield serious results in your life. I could not recommend this book any higher. It is a must read for anyone breathing or at least anyone who wants to lead a blessed and fruitful life.

This book is a quick read, but with simple truths to unlock each of our own potential. I will go back and re-read it again to make sure I have fully captured all it holds. A gift to help each of us soar and become our full selves. Thank you Andy Andrews

Don't let a rating stop you from picking up this book
The idea that is presented feels a bit scattered for the most part but the message really shines through in some chapters. I had an epiphany with the chapter that spoke about being diiferent, it may have changed me for the better. There are several chapters in this book that have the capacity to challenge your current belief system and thinking, so I'd urge anyone to find that out for themselves. You won't know till you read it.
