Practical ways to polish your app
I was excited to find this book where I could learn how to level up my skills with Swift in iOS. I've always seen animations as a great way to polish a user interface. It was cool to learn how animations work well with Auto Layout so that my app scales across devices. I also enjoyed the deep dive into CALayers which helped me debug some animations. The book provides real starter projects in Xcode. Each project was helpful for me to practice and visualize the kinds of animations I could design into my own apps. My favorite little lesson was automating the creation of keyframes to animate an airplane taking off. The book is 329 pages, so get ready to focus for a while. Each chapter is laid out nicely and will provide nice stopping points along the way.

This book continues to be my greatest resource when it comes to making my apps come to life. Reading through the material and following along was really enjoyable and helpful. Even though I read through it completely, I still refer back to it whenever I need a refresher on view controller transitions, Auto Layout animations, or CALayer transformations. This book is a really great investment into making better apps and improving overall understanding of what is possible on iOS.

Number one resource for iOS Animations
I am a subscriber to raywenderlich.com. There I completed Beginning iOS Animation video tutorials. Then I bought PDF version of this book. This book is amazing. It has all the concepts that anyone needs to do awesome animations. Nowadays all apps have similar functionality. If you want to standout from the crowd, having nice animations is the best option. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn iOS animations.

All you need
Great book on animations from the basics to more complex animations. I'm an intermediate developer and already in the first couple chapters I learned some creative ways to combine APIs I'm already familiar with to create some beautiful animations.

Don't spend 40 quids on a printed blog post
The quality of this book is genuinely terrible, printed in cheap paper and with blurry black and white images, very frustrated with the content too, superficial and full of cheesy examples that are not making you understand what is really going on under the hood.
